Vance alleges that Democrats are aiding China during his speech to autoworkers at a Big Rapids campaign event.
At the campaign event, Vance conveyed to Fox that Trump is interested in engaging in a debate with Harris.
Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, the Republican vice presidential candidate, accused Vice President Kamala Harris and the current Democratic administration of aiding China in destroying and replacing the US auto industry from within.
On Tuesday, Vance hosted a campaign event in Big Rapids, Michigan, near the location of Gotion Inc.'s planned $2.4 billion electric vehicle battery plant, which was registered as a Chinese foreign principal in 2023 according to FARA filings.
Vance stated that Harris' vote to pass the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, which broke the tie, allowed Chinese companies like Gotion to receive millions of your taxpayer dollars.
"Kamala Harris' plan to allow the Chinese Communist Party to build factories on American soil and pay them with our tax money is a threat to America's national security, according to Vance."
"Kamala Harris and other Democrats in this state want to give millions of dollars to companies that have been undercutting Michigan autoworkers. That's a disaster, isn't it?" he added. "Donald Trump has a different plan. He's going to drill, baby, drill. We're going to unleash American workers and bring back those great factories."
The senator discussed the controversy surrounding the upcoming debate between former President Trump and Vice President Harris, which had been reportedly causing tension over the rules before the scheduled Sep. 10 event.
"Vance stated in an exclusive interview with Planet Chronicle' Aishah Hasnie at the Michigan event that he believes it's crucial for the American people to witness him debate Kamala Harris, as she has largely avoided the media throughout her campaign. Additionally, he expressed dislike towards the last-minute rule changes, which he believes were made in an attempt to hide Kamala Harris's lack of debate skills."
On Monday, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, sent a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, detailing the pressure he faced from the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly with regards to COVID-19 content.
"This is a bombshell revelation," Vance told Fox. "The leader of one of the world's largest social networks has admitted to censoring Donald Trump before the election due to pressure from the Biden administration and campaign. This is a clear example of censorship that affected an American election."
