Trump Tower becomes a canvas for Dems during DNC.
The 2nd-tallest building in Chicago is Trump International Hotel and Tower.
On Sunday evening, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) displayed images at Trump Tower in Chicago in anticipation of their convention on Monday.
The DNC announced that everyone will receive a preview of the contrast that Democrats will drive throughout the Democratic National Convention this week, directly on Trump International Hotel in Chicago.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower, named after former President Trump, tried to link him and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, to Project 2025, a political initiative published by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think-tank based in Washington, D.C.
Controversial elements of the initiative have led Trump to deny any connection to the project.
Trump stated in a June Truth Social post that he has no knowledge about Project 2025, as he has not seen it and does not know who is in charge of it. Unlike the successful Republican Platform, he was not involved in its creation.
The tower, the second tallest building in Chicago, displayed messages that distinguished Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz from the Republican ticket, emphasizing their records of delivering for working families, as stated by the DNC.
The DNC statement stated that Donald Trump and JD Vance are running on their backwards Project 2025 agenda, which would harm our families and take away their freedoms, while giving Trump unprecedented power.
After a tumultuous few months for President Biden, who decided to withdraw from the presidential race and endorse Harris in July, the Democrats will commence their convention on Monday. Following Biden's withdrawal, Harris swiftly gained support within the party and selected Walz as her running mate, resulting in a string of positive polls.
The DNC will emphasize at the Chicago convention that Trump and Vance are solely focused on their own interests, while the Democratic ticket aims to maintain momentum.
"This week, the country will come together in support of Vice President Harris and Governor Walz, who are working towards a brighter future, while Trump and Vance focus solely on their own interests."
