Trump states that no "lifts" or "stands" will be permitted during the debate with Kamala Harris.
Mike Bloomberg was the target of an unprovoked jab from Trump.
Donald Trump, the former president, asserts that the upcoming presidential debate will not permit the nominees to make any changes to their height positioning behind the podium.
Trump made the comment in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on a Saturday.
""During my upcoming debate with Comrade Kamala Harris, no boxes or artificial lifts will be permitted, as we had previously established with former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg when he was in a debate and was not allowed a 'lift,'" Trump wrote."
"The former president stated that cheating is not acceptable, and the Democrats cheat too often. "You are who you are" was the final determination."
It is unclear if Trump was discussing the outcome of talks with ABC before the debate or speculating.
The post discusses Trump's past conflict with the former mayor of New York City, whom he referred to as "Mini Mike Bloomberg" during his 2020 presidential campaign.
Despite Trump's repeated claims that Bloomberg requested to stand on a box behind his podium during the Democratic primary debate, there is no evidence to support this assertion.
"A spokesperson for Bloomberg's 2020 campaign retorted, accusing the president of being a "pathological liar" who lies about various things, including his hair, weight, and tan."
In an interview with "Today" host Katie Couric, Harris corrected the interviewer's statement about the vice president's height, stating that he is actually 5'7".
"Harris stated that she is 5'4" and a quarter, but sometimes 5'4" and a half. When wearing heels, she stands at 5'7" and a half."
Trump's height has been reported as either 6'2" or 6'3".
