Trump mocked the possibility of RFK Jr endorsing him: "Bizarre as can be"
It is rumored that RFK Jr. will conclude his campaign on Friday.
Democrats are attacking former President Trump over a speculated endorsement from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before his expected presidential campaign suspension.
The DNC revealed four billboards critical of Trump on Friday morning regarding the possibility of an endorsement.
The billboards proclaim, "Bizarre as all get out," displaying images of Trump, his running mate Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Kennedy.
In Arizona, where Trump has a scheduled rally with a "special guest," and in Chicago, Illinois, where the Democratic National Convention wrapped on Thursday, the signs debuted.
On Friday, Kennedy's presidential campaign made a significant announcement with an address to the nation in Arizona.
The Chicago billboard will be located at the Trump International Hotel, with the intention of attracting attention from those leaving the convention.
The DNC's first advertising campaign since President Biden's suspension of his re-election bid features Kennedy.
Neither the Trump nor the Kennedy campaigns responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment before the publication deadline.
According to a memo obtained first by Planet Chronicle Digital, Ramsey Reid, who leads the DNC's effort against third-party candidates, wrote that MAGA Republicans used RFK Jr.'s sham candidacy to deceive voters and harm Democrats. However, RFK Jr.'s withdrawal from the race is an acknowledgement that their strategy failed.
Kennedy's favorability decreased during the campaign, according to data revealed by Reid, indicating the party's efforts were successful.
Reid wrote that as voters became aware of RFK Jr.’s questionable past, connections to MAGA supporters, and moderate stance on abortion and January 6th pardons, his support decreased significantly, making him almost insignificant.
"RFK Jr.'s threat to VP Harris was neutralized due to his lack of a significant base of support and high negatives among Democrats, as well as the soft and divided nature of the remaining support he had."
If Trump accepted Kennedy's endorsement, he would own all of RFK Jr.’s baggage and presumably have to appoint him and that baggage to a major position in his government.
Kennedy's campaign has not confirmed whether he will drop out or endorse Trump.
In a Planet Chronicle Poll earlier this month, Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris were tied in a head-to-head match-up, with 50% each. However, when third-party candidates were included, including Kennedy, the two were tied at 45% each nationally. Kennedy received 6% in the poll.
