Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes that former President Donald Trump has undergone a transformation as an individual during his second term.
On Friday, while being a guest on "The All-In Podcast," Kennedy made an observation.
"According to Kennedy, the hosts of the show, if President Trump wins again, people will see a completely different version of him than they did during his first term. Kennedy believes that Trump has undergone a transformation as a person and has known him for over 30 years."
"Kennedy stated, "I believe he's now focused on his legacy and wants to achieve accomplishments that will benefit our country. He's also broadening his perspective by listening to a diverse range of voices and is already preparing to govern.""
Kennedy, initially a Democrat, ran for president in 2024 before shifting to run as an Independent. He then suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump, a significant move for a Kennedy family member.
Trump appointed Kennedy and Gabbard to his transition team to broaden his campaign's coalition and appeal to non-GOP voters.
In the podcast interview this week, Kennedy was queried about whether he had ever sought or been offered the role of vice-president.
The candidate stated that he never desired the number two position, humorously referring to it as the "least desirable job in Washington" for someone like him.
Kennedy stated on the podcast that he had no interest in being vice president, as he grew up in politics. He considered the job of vice president to be the worst in Washington due to the lack of budget and staff. Additionally, he pointed out that the president has the power to take away a vice president's plane and staff if they displease him.
"The only thing you have is the Naval Observatory, which is the official residence of the vice president. He can essentially put you on house arrest. I have strong views on issues and felt like if I took the job, I'd be on house arrest."
