Trump criticizes Harris on immigration during Fox town hall: "The border is in shambles"
A Planet Chronicle poll reveals that a majority of voters trust Trump more than Harris on immigration.
In a Planet Chronicle Town Hall, former President Donald Trump criticized VP Kamala Harris for her handling of immigration, arguing that she bore responsibility for the surge in illegal immigration.
"Trump stated on Planet Chronicle that they want open borders, while also mentioning that she had previously expressed a desire for closed borders."
"The border in question is the worst in history, not just in this country. No other nation has ever allowed 21 million people to enter over a three-year period. This is a unique situation. Of the 21 million people who entered, many were from prisons, and many were murderers, drug dealers, and child traffickers."
Trump stated, "Women traffickers are the biggest problem, and they are putting women in our Social Security and Medicare accounts. Over the past week, I predicted this would occur, and it is happening because these individuals are more difficult than our criminals."
In the last three years, more terrorists have entered the United States, according to Trump.
"I believe it's likely that 50 years have passed since anything like this has occurred. These individuals are truly terrible and pose a significant threat. The harm they have inflicted on our nation is irreparable, and we must take immediate action to prevent further damage."
Trump stated that many people are unaware of the large number of countries that are releasing their prisoners and jail inmates into the United States.
"The mentally ill are being released from institutions and sent to the United States."
According to recent Planet Chronicle polling, the economy is the most important issue to voters heading into the 2024 election, with immigration being the second most important concern.
According to polls conducted after Biden withdrew from re-election, Trump leads Harris on the immigration issue by 14 points in a Planet Chronicle poll, 16 points in a Marist poll, 18 points in a Marquette University poll, and 13 points in a Wall Street Journal poll.
