Trump comments on Bragg case delay, stating it should be over.
Trump stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that it was a case that should have never been brought up.
Judge Juan Merchan has delayed sentencing in New York v. Trump until after Election Day, and former President Trump has responded by stating that he is innocent and the case should be dismissed.
Planet Chronicle Digital exclusively interviewed Trump after his sentencing was delayed until after the presidential election in November, as granted by Merchan.
The sentencing date for Trump has been rescheduled from Sept. 18 to Nov. 26.
"Trump stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the case was delayed because everyone recognized there was no case and he did not make any mistakes, adding that it should never have been brought in the first place."
Every legal scholar who has examined and studied it agrees with Trump that the public understands it.
"Trump stated that he greatly respected the use of the phrase 'if necessary' in the decision because there should be no 'if necessary,'" according to the report.
He added: "The case should be dead."
The integrity of our judicial system demands a sentencing hearing that is entirely focused on the verdict of the jury and the weighing of aggravating and mitigating factors without distraction or distortion, as stated by Merchan on Friday.
Unfortunately, the current time frame makes it challenging to conduct a sentencing hearing due to the complexities involved. As a result, the decision on the motion and the imposition of sentence will be adjourned to avoid any perception that the proceeding is being influenced by or is attempting to influence the upcoming presidential election in which the defendant is a candidate.
An unprecedented criminal trial found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, following a six-week trial resulting from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation.
According to Steven Cheung, Trump campaign spokesperson, there should be no sentencing in the Manhattan DA's Election Interference Witch Hunt. As per the United States Supreme Court, this case, along with all other Harris-Biden Hoaxes, should be dismissed.
Judge Juan Merchan agreed to delay Trump's initial sentencing, which was set for July 11, until Sept. 18, just days before the Republican National Convention where he was to be formally nominated as the 2024 GOP presidential nominee.
Trump's lawyers requested a delay in his sentencing until after the November election, stating "election interference objectives."
Trump's attorney, Todd Blanche, has argued that the verdict should be overturned because of the Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity.
Blanche mentioned Merchan's daughter's work at Authentic Campaigns, which supports top Democratic candidates.
Blanche contended that Bragg presented official documents as proof in his case against her during the unprecedented six-week trial. These documents included communications from the White House involving staff members such as Hope Hicks and Madeleine Westerhout.
The Supreme Court ruled in Trump v. United States that a former president has substantial immunity from prosecution for official acts in office but not for unofficial acts. The high court said Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for "official acts" but left it to the lower court to determine exactly where the line between official and unofficial is.
