Top five "weird" moments of Harris VP pick Tim Walz in the spotlight

On Tuesday, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris announced her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, whose "radical" political career was exposed through social media.

During a Philadelphia campaign rally Tuesday evening, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., accompanied the Minnesota Democrat, who was being hyped up by the far-left faction of her party, on a swing state tour across multiple states.

Harris highlighted Tim's strong convictions on fighting for middle class families during her VP announcement on Tuesday.

The former lawmaker and potential future vice president made five "weird" remarks, according to critics.

"Weird" goes viral

The insult that Walz made about former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, became a viral hit for Democrats across the United States.

"On MSNBC last month, he stated that the individuals on the other side have unusual intentions, including removing books and entering exam rooms, which boils down to their desire for control. It's important to acknowledge the gravity of these proposals."

The Trump campaign has adopted the quip that the Harris campaign used and has used it to attack Democrats' "radical" proposals.

""What's truly bizarre is how politicians like Kamala are lenient on crime and release illegal aliens, who then go on to harm Americans," Donald Trump Jr. stated."

During an Atlanta rally over the weekend, Vance seized the opportunity to enumerate the policy positions that Harris has advocated for.

During a Philadelphia rally on Tuesday, Walz continued to use the word "weird" in his public speeches, despite being Harris' running mate.

He stated that these guys were both unsettling and bizarrely strange.

Socialism = neighborliness

The common perception of socialism is associated with compulsory wealth redistribution, excessive taxation, and the atrocities committed by regimes such as the Soviet Union.

Recently, Walz portrayed socialism in a positive light by linking it to "neighborliness."

"The Minnesota Democrat urged participants on a "White Dudes for Harris" call last week not to be afraid of their progressive values, stating that what one person considers socialism may simply be another person's expression of neighborliness."

The clip immediately ignited backlash on social media.

Journalist Karol Markowicz posted on X that neighborliness resulted in the deaths of members of her family.

Virginia Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares stated that Walz's assertion that socialism is simply "neighborliness" is a falsehood that ignores the hardships faced by countless families under socialist regimes.

"Weird," said Manhattan Institute senior fellow Ilya Shapiro.

"A 30-foot ladder factory"

Critics have been scrutinizing Walz's immigration views, particularly his actions to issue driver's licenses to undocumented individuals and his advocacy for sanctuary policies.

Should President Trump try to construct another wall along the southern border, Walz proposed that he would create his own money-making plan.

"I always say to him, 'Let me know how high the wall is.' If it's 25 feet, then I'll invest in the 30-foot ladder factory," he said on CNN. "That's not how you stop this."

Several conservative critics, including the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee, utilized a soundbite to criticize Harris, focusing on her past as "border czar" and the lingering negative impact of her tenure as vice president.

"Get off the couch"

On Tuesday, Walz seemed to make false claims about Vance during a debate with his counterpart.

""I'm eager to argue with him, but only if he decides to leave his couch and attend," Walz remarked."

The crowd's roar and Harris' facial expression indicated they understood the reference.

The rumor that Vance had sex with a couch in "Hillbilly Elegy" has been proven false by multiple fact checkers.

Despite being repeatedly debunked, Walz embraced false claims and became the most prominent spreader of them.

Chinese luxury

In 1990, Walz praised the living conditions he encountered in China.

He vowed that no matter how long he lived, he would never again be treated as well as he was.

"Walz stated that he had an excellent experience as he was treated exceptionally well and received more gifts than he could bring home."

The Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 and ongoing human rights abuses in the communist regime led to the remark.

Gwen Walz, the First Lady of Minnesota, faced the wrath of social media after a 2020 interview clip of hers went viral.

"During the riots, Walz's wife experienced more sleepless nights, as she could smell the burning tires and kept the windows open as a reminder of the events unfolding."

The comment was labeled as "odd" and "strange" on social media.
