The presidential debate between Trump and Harris sparks outrage on social media: 'Phony and scripted'
The ABC moderators' performance was heavily criticized by many social media users.
The conclusion of the first presidential debate between VP Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump sparked a flood of reactions from both conservatives and liberals on social media.
According to Alfredo Ortiz, Job Creators Network President, tonight's debate revealed a stark contrast between Donald Trump's policies aimed at addressing America's major issues and Kamala Harris's reliance on worn-out talking points.
"Kamala evaded her unsuccessful liberal track record by frequently changing her stance on critical issues. However, she cannot escape the consequences of her actions. She was exposed as a policy fraud who prioritized winning the election over maintaining consistency in her positions. Trump, on the other hand, demonstrated his leadership abilities by articulating the policies required to revitalize Main Street and the economy. In essence, he embodied presidential qualities, while Kamala fell short."
Greg Gutfeld posted on X: 'My debate score: Trump - 3, Moderators - 9, Harris - N/A' on Planet Chronicle.
Many on social media criticized the performance of the ABC moderators.
"Former Trump press secretary and Planet Chronicle host Kayleigh McEnany criticized ABC for not asking Kamala Harris about her stance on casting the tie-breaking vote for inflation and funding gender transition surgeries for illegal immigrants, as well as for not addressing Tim Walz's decision to allow babies born alive after abortion to die in Minnesota and remove reporting requirements. McEnany also noted that ABC only focused on fact-checking Trump's statements."
"Conservative commentator Matt Walsh posted on X that his debate analysis won't satisfy anyone. He believes Kamala was weak and nervous early on, appearing phony and rehearsed. However, Trump missed several opportunities to deliver a powerful blow, often rambled excessively, and repeatedly fell for the opponent's bait. In his opinion, the debate did not significantly impact either candidate's chances."
Sentinel Action Fund President Jessica Anderson stated that tonight's debate was not about Old Kamala versus Trump, but rather New Kamala versus Old Kamala. Despite her efforts to rewrite history on her support for radical policies, such as those related to the border, immigration, fracking, energy, Bidenomics, and government principles, it is clear that she continues to be dishonest with the country about her true stance.
"Hewitt posted on X that Trump did not win the debate but he won the election with the help of ABC because it was biased towards Harris. Voters saw Harris dodge difficult questions and try to erase her record and Biden's. They expected accountability on the economy, inflation, and border but got an ABC buffet of lefty agenda journalism that covered up the failures of the past three and a half years. Democrats believe they won the debate and the election. It's 2016 all over again."
Others on social media expressed the belief that Harris won the debate.
""Trump: Hold my beer," journalist John Ralston posted on X after Biden gave one of the worst debate performances in history."
"David Axelrod, former Obama senior adviser, stated on X that Trump's self-image and political calling card is strength. During the first hour, Trump was on defense and unraveled when Kamala Harris pushed all his hot buttons."
"Kamala Harris won the debate with ease, as journalist Chris Cillizza noted on X."
The Harris campaign stated that Trump was "incoherent" and "angry" during the debate.
"Vice President Harris commanded the stage on every single issue that matters to the American people, the campaign said. Americans saw exactly what kind of President Kamala Harris will be: one who offers a New Way Forward for the country, who will be a president for all Americans, and who will turn the page once and for all on the darkness and division of Donald Trump. She reminded the American people that she is the only candidate in this race ready to serve as our next Commander-in-Chief."
The Trump campaign declared victory in their debate statement.
The campaign praised President Trump's impressive debate performance, where he highlighted Kamala Harris' poor track record of failure that has negatively impacted Americans for the past four years.
"President Trump's vision for America is a bold plan to continue building on his first term's successes by boosting the economy, securing the border, and reducing crime. On the other hand, Kamala's vision for America is a dark reminder of the oppressive, big government policies of Joe Biden that she wants to continue. This includes high inflation, an open border that lets criminals and terrorists enter, and being soft on crime."
