The Harris campaign focuses on winning over Republican voters by highlighting support from GOP defectors.
The Trump campaign claims that no conservative would support radical Marxist Kamala Harris.
The campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris is targeting Republican voters through paid media and grassroots-driven digital efforts, while highlighting recent endorsements from GOP dissenters, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.
According to Ian Sams, Harris' campaign has gained momentum among Republicans.
The Harris campaign highlighted recent endorsements from Republicans and former Republicans, including former Rep. Liz Cheney, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, Jimmy McCain, the son of late-Sen. John McCain, and over 200 staffers who served under Republican administrations.
In 2022, Cheney lost re-election and was removed as the House GOP Conference chair due to her role on the House Jan. 6 Committee and anti-Trump statements. Kinzinger, who also served on the committee, retired from Congress that same year.
"Sams stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that they are proud of the bipartisan support for Vice President Harris and will continue to work daily to earn the backing of Republican voters who value patriotism, freedom, and the Constitution."
The Democratic National Convention last month featured several Republican speakers, including Kingzinger, Olivia Troye, and Stephanie Grisham, as touted by a Harris campaign official.
The Harris campaign official highlighted the "Republicans for Harris" program launched recently, which received endorsements from former GOP governors Bill Weld and Christine Temple Whitman, as well as former GOP representative Joe Walsh.
The Harris campaign has a "National Republican Engagement Director" who is committed to expanding the campaign's outreach to Independents and moderate Republicans. The campaign has invested over $7 million in communicating with these voters, according to a statement.
The Trump campaign refuted the Harris campaign's assertion of "Republican momentum."
"Kamala's team is struggling to keep up with President Trump's endorsements from influential former Democrats like RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard," Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated. "No conservative will be voting for radical Marxist, weak-on-crime, open border, high tax Kamala Harris."
"Leavitt concurred with Cheney's criticism of Harris as a "radical liberal" in an Aug. 11, 2020 tweet."
Last month, former President Donald Trump received endorsements from former Democrats Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii.
Last week, RFK Jr. and Gabbard officially joined the Trump transition team, expanding Trump's support base "across political boundaries."
