The DOJ's move to block Russian election interference is met with skepticism from Republicans.

On Wednesday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) under President Biden unveiled new initiatives to combat Russian interference in elections, but Republicans expressed their "skepticism" towards these measures, which come just before the November ballot.

In 2016, the Russia hoax was pushed by the same people, and we now know it was false. Although it may be true this time, I am highly skeptical, as House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told Planet Chronicle Digital.

On Wednesday, the Justice Department announced that it is seizing 32 websites linked to the Russian government and used to spread disinformation. Additionally, the Justice, State, and Treasury departments indicted two employees at Russian state-controlled outlet RT.

The accusation stated that RT, through a $10 million scheme, deceived US-based influencers into promoting content that was advantageous to the Russian government, using a Tennessee-based company known as Tenet Media.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act and money laundering were allegedly violated by RT in a conspiracy.

In order to weaken U.S. opposition to Russian interests, particularly its ongoing war in Ukraine, the U.S. government intentionally amplified domestic divisions.

Stephen Miller, a longtime Trump advisor, wrote on X: "The DOJ's weaponization of the security state through surveillance, fake intelligence, sham indictments, raids, mass censorship, and importing illegal voters is the biggest election interference in American history, targeting President Trump, his aides, and supporters. Third world tyranny."

"Russian interference claims the Democrats' DOJ, according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.," she wrote on X. "We must prevent Russian influence from convincing Americans that the Democrats and Kamala Harris are responsible for the crippling inflation, deadly border invasion by millions of illegal migrants, and senseless foreign wars, and lead them to vote for Trump!"

Merrick Garland responded to doubts and comparisons to 2016: "This is a serious matter, and we will handle it with the utmost care."

RT responded to the allegations by stating that they had multiple reactions but couldn't choose one, so they listed them all. They even considered running an office poll.

"2016 is calling for its clichés to return," along with other statements such as "Three things are certain in life: death, taxes, and RT's interference in U.S. elections," "We must find a way to earn our Kremlin paycheck," and "Secretary Clinton is disappointed that it's not because of her."

Several Kremlin propaganda project proposals were indicted, which aimed to create racial tension and threaten "widespread poverty" due to inflation.

The belief that the U.S. has been doing too much to support Ukraine has increased to 51 percent from 41 percent in a November Gallup poll, according to project "Good Old USA."

The project stated that it would concentrate its efforts on U.S. citizens of Hispanic descent, American Jews, American gamers, and Reddit users, as well as residents of swing states, under its "targeted audiences" section.

"The Guerilla Media Campaign stated that its objective was not to justify Russia but to strengthen the conviction that the policies of "Candidate B," who is believed to be Biden, are infringing on people's rights."

The Russians deemed Republicans to be "advancing a relatively pro-Russian agenda."

The directive instructed surrogates to focus on disseminating information about "record inflation," "job loss risks for White Americans," "privileges for people of color, perverts, and the disabled," "crime threats from people of color and immigrants (including new immigrants from Ukraine)," and "excessive spending on foreign policy at the expense of white US citizens' interests."

The message aimed to minimize fake news and maximize realistic information, while also conveying the reality that our troops would likely die in Ukraine as we become increasingly involved in war.
