Swing state voter registration drive by conservative group could sway election results
In Arizona and Georgia, Heritage Action for America concentrated on voter registration efforts.
A conservative grassroots organization announced on Monday that they had registered 50,000 new voters in two crucial swing states, as the two major-party presidential candidates prepare to face off in a highly-anticipated debate.
The six-figure, data-driven voter registration drive launched by Heritage Action for America in Georgia and Arizona has been successful, resulting in 2 million activists across the country.
The group also announced that they are considering funding another project in the two states to increase voter turnout among newly registered voters.
Heritage Action, as a 501c(4) organization, is allowed to support specific legislation but cannot work for partisan candidates on a party-line basis. The focus of the drive was on conservative voters, not Republicans, Democrats, or others.
Heritage Action, established in 2010, aims to achieve conservative policy triumphs at the state level and educates volunteers and other activists to serve as "watchdogs" in their respective states to safeguard the future of America.
Heritage Action Vice President Ryan Walker stated that "every vote matters" in the two key states of the project during the last several election cycles.
"Enrolling a large number of like-minded voters can determine whether conservatives win or lose in 2024," Walker stated.
"We are pleased with our efforts to register over 50,000 conservative voters in Georgia and Arizona, and we remain committed to increasing our investments in these crucial states."
Voter engagement is crucial for conservatives to regain a majority in Congress and implement conservative policies through the executive branch, as Walker stated.
"Heritage is running through the tape to save the future of our country," Walker said.
The project's organizers and activists followed up with potential new registrants through door-to-door visits, text messages, and telephone conversations.
President Biden won both states by approximately 12,000 votes each, which is significantly less than the 50,000 votes announced by Heritage Action.
According to the organization's statement, the inclusion of 50,000 conservative voters in Georgia and Arizona could alter the presidential election's outcome based on 2020 election data.
With a narrow victory in the 2020 presidential election, conservative change can be achieved through targeted grassroots organizing, as Heritage Action President Kevin Roberts pointed out.
Roberts stated that after he opened our borders, destroyed our economy through overspending and inflation, and invited conflict around the globe with failed foreign policy, voters are eager to fire him for good.
"Heritage Action is successfully identifying and empowering voters to secure conservative victories in crucial states nationwide through their targeted voter registration campaign."
