Social media users react strongly to Harris and Walz's controversial comments about "White guy" tacos.
The backlash against Kamala Harris and Tim Walz over their comments about "White guy tacos" has intensified.
Critics on social media are reacting negatively to a Harris campaign video released on Thursday, which features vice presidential candidate Tim Walz making a joke about eating "White guy tacos."
The snarky response of Vice President Kamala Harris in a video was criticized for mocking White people, further fueling the fire.
In the campaign video, Walz and Harris discuss their favorite foods, including Walz's love for White guy tacos.
"What does that mean? Like mayonnaise and tuna? What are you doing?" Harris replied with a quip.
Walz replied, stating that it was mostly ground beef and cheese.
Do you add any flavor to it?" Harris asked after responding, "That's OK.
"No, that's not right," Walz replied, eliciting a laugh from Harris.
Harris and Walz's critics were not satisfied with the exchange. Some accused them of racism, while others pointed out the inconsistency in the situation, arguing that if JD Vance, the GOP vice presidential nominee, made a similar statement about Black people, he would face severe criticism.
Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire posted a statement that white people dislike spices, which he found amusing, and emphasized that it was not racist.
"David Marcus, a Planet Chronicle columnist, stated that Walz's use as a clown to mock White people is not cute, regardless of his preference for spicy food."
In response to the remarks, Sen. Ted Cruz, D-Texas, stated that "Hispanics are not tacos."
A conservative speaker, writer, and podcast host, Ian Haworth, contended that Walz's statement would incite riots if it were made by a Republican.
"It's astonishing that a presidential candidate can openly express anti-white racism without any consequences," said Daily Wire's Matt Walsh. "If Donald Trump had said that a 'black guy taco' was made with fried chicken and watermelon, there would have been a nuclear meltdown."
Journalist Brian Shea, who is a fan of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, stated that black pepper is not the top spice in the state, despite his love for cooking with flavor.
Some people specifically took issue with Jack Posobiec's argument that Harris's comments in the video had mocked White people.
Posobiec stated that the Kamala campaign is producing videos that ridicule white individuals for not seasoning their food, a widely circulated anti-white meme on the internet.
Supporters of Harris and Walz commended the duo for their comments, while critics were criticized for their opposition.
Micha Efran, a political organizer and executive committee member for the Texas Democratic Party, wrote on X that The Daily Wire's Walsh was easily offended and hypersensitive when he got angry over the comments.
On Friday, former President Donald Trump's critics continued to criticize him for his sarcastic remarks about the Presidential Medal of Freedom being better than the Congressional Medal of Honor because it doesn't require risking one's life to obtain it.
Eugene Vindman, a Virginia Democratic congressional candidate, criticized Trump for dishonoring Medal of Honor recipients, the nation's highest military award for distinguished acts of valor. Vindman argued that Trump's sarcasm was unbecoming and disqualified him from public office.
"Willie Geist, co-host of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe," asserted that Trump's view of people who serve the country in uniform is not a one-time occurrence."
The Harris campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
