Sen. Rick Scott identifies the "most significant factor" that can aid former President Trump.
Scott believes that if Vice President Kamala Harris could communicate 99% of the time, it would be advantageous for former President Donald Trump.
In Philadelphia, Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., disclosed the "most significant" factor he thinks can aid former President Donald Trump in his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the battleground state of Pennsylvania, during Tuesday night's debate, Scott stated that the best thing Trump could achieve is if she could speak 99% of the time.
"Scott told Planet Chronicle Digital that it would be intriguing to observe which version of Kamala Harris emerges, whether it's the one who has been part of the Biden administration that has opened the border, harmed the economy, and stopped supporting Israel and allowed Iran to acquire weapons, or a new Harris who believes in securing the border and controlling inflation by allowing free markets to operate, promoting oil and gas production in the country to lower gas prices."
"Scott, a Trump 2024 campaign surrogate, stated that the key is for Harris to speak out about her ideas, including the border, economy, and foreign policy, as no one agrees with her views except for some socialists. He added that her thought process lacks logic."
"The senator stated during a Monday morning phone interview that when she discusses price controls, it implies product shortages. Similarly, when people hear her talk about the border, they ask, "Well, why didn't she do it now?" because everything she promises to do is met with the reaction, "Well, why didn't you do it?""
Scott advised that ABC News moderators should inquire from Harris during the debate whether she would offer an apology to the families of the 13 U.S. service members who perished in the August 2021 suicide bombing at Abbey Gate during the Afghanistan withdrawal. Additionally, he suggested that the moderators should inquire about what Harris has to say to the families in this country who are struggling with high grocery prices, gas prices, and rent due to the inflation caused by her and Joe Biden.
Scott, who sat beside Harris on the Senate Homeland Security Committee for two years, stated that he observed during that time that she was not committed to any policy matters but was focused on gaining media attention.
The June debate hosted by CNN in Atlanta, which saw no studio audience, was the most contentious rule agreed upon by both camps during the debate over the debate. The rule, which involves muting microphones during an opponent's responses, was seen as a victory for Trump by pundits.
According to the rules, only David Muir and Linsey Davis from ABC News will be allowed to ask questions during the moderation.
Scott advised Trump to focus on discussing crucial topics such as the economy, education, and safety during the debate, stating that these issues appeal to both men and women.
"Scott stated that he believes that men playing women's sports can resonate with both women and men. However, he added that it is important for Harris to speak about her beliefs, as this can turn people off."
The SAVE Act, which requires states to verify voter eligibility and remove noncitizens from voter rolls, was also questioned by Planet Chronicle Digital regarding whether Trump should mention it during the debate.
Some Republicans, including Scott, have advocated for the SAVE Act to be linked to a spending bill extension to prevent a government shutdown at the conclusion of the fiscal year.
Should Trump mention the SAVE act and the concern about illegal immigrants and noncitizens voting in the upcoming election, according to Planet Chronicle Digital?
"Yes," Scott stated. "During my travels around Florida this year, a common topic in every discussion is the concern about stealing the election. I believe this issue is significant to people."
"I'm hopeful that the bill will pass the House," Scott said. "Then, unless Schumer wants to shut down government, it will pass out of the Senate."
