Retired police lieutenant criticizes Gov Walz for allowing Minneapolis to be taken over by rioters.
Minnesota Gov. Walz is not a moderate, according to John Nagel, who spoke to Planet Chronicle Digital.
A retired police lieutenant in Minnesota claims that Gov. Tim Walz is not a "moderate" and tells Planet Chronicle Digital that the governor "intentionally" allowed Minneapolis to burn during the 2020 riots because he "truly doesn't like police."
Retired Minnesota State Patrol Lt. John Nagel stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that he is not a moderate, has never been one, and in Minnesota he has been anti-police, raised taxes, and is far from being a moderate.
"Walz's stance on police issues, including defunding the police, has caused tension with law enforcement families, particularly when an officer is killed in the line of duty and the family refuses to invite him to the funeral. This should give you an idea of how law enforcement generally feels about Walz."
The widow of Pope County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Owen, who was killed in the line of duty responding to a domestic violence call, informed Walz that he was not invited to her late husband's funeral because "he does not support law enforcement," according to Alpha News.
Walz's slow response to sending in the National Guard during the 2020 George Floyd riots in Minnesota has been a major source of dissatisfaction among law enforcement officials, and he has faced criticism for this since being named the Democratic vice presidential nominee.
Nagel, a Republican running for office in Minnesota House District 46A, stated that the slow response was partly due to a political calculation.
"Nagel stated, "He intentionally let Minneapolis burn, which we keep hearing over and over again.""
"Keith Ellison has never liked the police, and they have been involved with people who are defunding the police."
In 2020, when the Minnesota City Council was considering disbanding the police department, Walz publicly supported "alternatives to policing." Since then, he has been criticized by Republicans for not doing enough to support law enforcement during the riots.
"GOP Rep. Pete Stauber, who represents Duluth, Minnesota and surrounding areas, previously stated that Tim Walz, the mayor of Minneapolis, did nothing to stop the riots that burned the city for three straight nights. Stauber also criticized Walz for calling the riots "righteous anger" and causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to family businesses and buildings in Minneapolis."
According to Planet Chronicle Digital, Walz's "lack of support" has left the "vast majority" of law enforcement in Minnesota feeling "disgruntled."
Nagel, a 30-year veteran, stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that Democratic policies are harming Minnesota and causing people to leave in large numbers. He also claimed that Walz has played a significant role in dismantling public safety in the state.
What does a veteran law enforcement officer think voters should know about Walz, as asked by Planet Chronicle Digital?
Nagel stated that it is necessary for them to comprehend that he is not truthful, power-hungry, and not acting in the best interest of the people.
"He is doing it for his own benefit and will follow the Democrats' wishes without question. In Minnesota, he has caused significant damage with the trifecta of the Democrats. Imagine what he can do with your federal tax dollars. When North Korea threatens, will he and his president be able to handle a national crisis, given that he couldn't handle a crisis in Minneapolis?"
The Harris-Walz campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
