Reports indicate that Trump fundraiser is being hosted by Newsom's wife's relatives in California.
According to reports, Tom Siebel, a billionaire software developer and supporter of former President Donald Trump, is related to California Governor Gavin Newsom's wife.
On Friday, a billionaire relative of California Gov. Gavin Newsom's wife is hosting a major fundraiser for former President Trump in California.
According to the Times and the San Francisco Gate, Tom Siebel has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Trump's 2024 campaign and PACs backing the Republican nominee.
Biden's campaign had Newsom as a surrogate, and he has been critical of Trump.
This week, after pausing his campaigning following Biden's withdrawal from the race in July, Newsom continued his support for the Democratic nominee, now Vice President Harris, in Philadelphia.
Trump will attend a Bay Area fundraiser, with ticket prices starting at $3,300 and going up to $250,000 per person, as confirmed by KTVU.
Trump will resume his campaign trail on Thursday, after attending 9/11 memorial ceremonies in New York City and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday. He will first travel west to Tucson, Arizona, before heading to Los Angeles for a fundraiser that night.
Trump intends to address the media on Friday morning before attending a fundraising event in the Bay Area and then heading to Las Vegas for another rally, according to the Associated Press.
