Pro-Palestinian protesters taunt Harris supporters, prompting veep to respond: "What about Hamas?"
A pro-Palestinian protester outside a Harris rally sparked a heated exchange with Frank from Monroe County, Pa.
Several pro-Palestinian protesters were met with shouts from a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris at Wilkes University on Friday.
A Harris supporter named Frank from Stroudsburg, Pa., yelled back at a man waving a Palestinian flag and criticizing the protesters. The man was followed by a female protester and about five others.
""You are a cowardly one here. Come show your muscle and let the people live," the male pro-Palestinian protester retorted."
The woman was attempting to argue that there is little difference between Harris and former President Trump on the Israel-Gaza conflict and the Jerusalem government's response to the October 7 terror attack.
After the controversy, Frank admitted to Planet Chronicle Digital that he was fed up with the protesters' insults and felt compelled to speak out.
While everyone agrees that the war in Gaza is terrible, there are complaints about Kamala's call for a cease fire.
Frank remarked that while the protesters are representing the Palestinians, it is concerning that they remain silent on the role of Hamas and the atrocities that initiated the conflict.
"The United States has been attempting to negotiate a cease fire in the region for several months, but the problem lies with Netanyahu and the right-wing Israeli government, who do not support a two-state solution. Additionally, Hamas uses the Palestinians as human shields, and this is not addressed in the negotiations."
The U.S. should uphold its promise to Israel and stop criticizing Benjamin Netanyahu for engaging in indiscriminate bombings of Gazan territory.
Since the year I was born, America has been committed to defending Israel's right to exist. Hamas aims to eliminate Israel as a state, as stated in their purpose.
"These guys have the right to express their opinions, but their perspective is limited; what's truly happening here. Almost everyone desires peace."
"Kamala Harris has publicly supported a cease fire. Therefore, channel your anger towards a productive outcome."
Loai, the male protester who had been arguing with a Harris supporter, was also interviewed by Planet Chronicle Digital after speaking with Frank.
Loai was born in Palestinian territory but now resides locally in the Wyoming Valley.
Loai stated that the reason for his group's protest at the Harris rally is because the vice president supports "Zionists" and is "supporting Israel."
Loai stated that both Harris and Trump are "essentially" the same on the issue. When asked for his preference, Loai joked, "let's see who is less smelly."
"We want to see the genocide stop," he added.
Loai stated that he does not care about Israel and does not support its destruction, unlike other protesters who have shouted "from the river to the sea."
"We don't concern ourselves with Israel's existence or non-existence. It's not our business. We are Americans. We want this genocide to end. No matter where they go, they just need to leave the Palestinian territory."
