Pro-Palestinian group switches support from Biden to Harris before election.
Harris stated that they are now "intensely focused on revealing and challenging Kamala Harris's involvement in genocide."
"Abandon Biden" is now "Abandon Harris."
On Friday, the pro-Palestinian group opposing the Democratic Party announced that its members were now mobilizing under the banner of "Abandon Biden."
"Our mission is now to expose and oppose Kamala Harris and her complicity in genocide, while keeping the registered name of Abandon Biden. We urge all people of conscience to join us in holding the Democratic Party accountable for the bloodshed in Gaza."
""The DNC's recent actions have confirmed that the Democratic Party is not interested in ending the genocide in Gaza. They are actively participating in this brutal and unforgivable violence," the group stated."
The movement on the left opposing the Democratic Party includes Abandon Harris, who is against the party's continued support of Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
Protests against Harris' campaign were held during the Democratic National Convention by anti-Israel demonstrators, including marches and demonstrations against speakers.
During her speech at the convention, the Democratic presidential nominee tried to reach out to anti-Israel protesters by stating that President Biden's administration is actively working towards achieving a hostage deal and a cease-fire agreement.
"I will always defend Israel's right to protect itself and ensure it has the capability to do so, as the people of Israel must never again experience the terror inflicted by Hamas on Oct. 7."
Harris stated that the war casualties of innocent Palestinian people in Gaza over the past 10 months are devastating.
In July, Harris met with Netanyahu to reiterate the administration's support for Israel and express her concern about the humanitarian situation, while also discussing a cease-fire deal.
