Minnesota lawmaker raises concerns about Gov. Walz's 'radical agenda' before election: 'So heinous'
Minnesota has been transformed by Democrats through proxy voting, according to MN State Sen. Mark Koran.
A Republican lawmaker in Minnesota stated that Gov. Walz is not a moderate and provided examples of why he believes the governor's agenda is so "heinous" that it's hard to explain it to voters.
"Minnesota Republican State Senator Mark Koran stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that there must be a new word for 'center' because he is not close to the bill's location. He explained that the most radical policies that he faces as a conservative Republican in Minnesota are the most challenging process of describing the bills passed in the last few years. The agenda is so heinous, removing parental rights, and the transgender ideology which puts children in harm's way. He signed every one of those bills, and to him, most people do not believe it because it is so radical when they try to educate them."
Planet Chronicle Digital reported that Republicans were able to collaborate with Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton, even though they had different views on certain issues. However, Walz faces a "very different environment" due to proxy voting and the significant influence Democrats have in Minnesota, where the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) controls the statehouse.
"Koran stated that although they possess a trifecta, which grants significant power, they lack a mandate. Specifically, they only have a slim majority in both the House and Senate in Minnesota by less than 1820 votes. As a result, they do not have a mandate for a radical political agenda. In Koran's view, the most crucial element for preserving democracy is supporting policies and procedures that undermine the very foundation of our system of governance, as Governor Walz has stated."
"This year, every bill that passed through the legislature in Minnesota included changes to the rules and proxy voting, allowing legislators to vote remotely without physically being present. This change has taken away the full representation of all voters in Minnesota and granted the legislators ultimate power and control over the legislative agenda, which was not granted by the voters."
Planet Chronicle Digital reported that Walz's track record as governor raises doubts about his ability to serve as vice president, particularly regarding his response to the rioting in Minneapolis following George Floyd's death in 2020.
"Koran stated that since he was close and a member of the National Guard, they should have been prepared for the civil unrest they knew was coming and should have been ready to go as soon as it happened, with no hesitancy."
Koran stated that they decided to let a precinct go and allow the civil unrest to continue for many days. He added that if one looks back at their research, it is evident that when the National Guard leadership finally called out the guard, they had to ask, "What is the actual mission?"
St. Paul fared better than Minneapolis during the fires, but the leader of the state should have taken decisive action and didn't.
Walz's leadership on COVID has been criticized by the Koran, with Republicans accusing him of taking an overly strict approach, including encouraging a tip line for neighbors to report COVID lockdown violations.
"According to Koran, during the early days of COVID, Minnesota created a chart and dials for political theater around the issue, but the first two weeks were spent trying to figure out what it was. After that, no data was shared, and as a legislator representing 85,000 people, Koran was concerned about the lack of transparency."
"Minnesota's data did not align with the actual outcomes, justifying the actions and keeping people confined in their homes. We were likely one of the states that did not take the most extreme measures, but we did severely impact our small to medium-sized businesses, churches, and civil rights. He was unsuccessful in his efforts."
If you're meeting Walz for the first time and want to know one thing about him, Koran stated that the governor is skilled at saying a lot of words while saying nothing at all.
Koran stated that he has already demonstrated his agreement with the most extreme progressive agenda globally.
"The vice president has agreed to be complicit with the most radical anti-American agenda, which is harmful to the country and goes against the Constitution, even though he doesn't have a significant defined role."
The Harris-Walz campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
