Michelle Obama delivers her third consecutive DNC speech, criticizing Trump's "racist lies" and "narrow view of the world."
The former first lady delivered her third consecutive DNC speech on Tuesday night, criticizing former President Trump.
Michelle Obama criticized former President Trump in her third DNC speech in a row, accusing him of using his "generational wealth" to oppose her husband's presidency and suggesting that race was the reason for his opposition.
"The former first lady stated that for years, Donald Trump tried to instill fear in people through his actions, which stemmed from his limited and narrow worldview. He felt threatened by the existence of two successful, hardworking, and highly educated Black individuals."
"Obama interrupted the applause from the crowd and asked, "Who will inform him that the job he's looking for may be one of those Black jobs?""
Obama stated, "His approach is the same old con. The same old con. He resorts to repeating ugly, misogynistic, and racist lies instead of presenting genuine ideas and solutions that can improve people's lives."
Obama criticized Trump by stating that Vice President Kamala Harris comprehends that the majority of people will not receive the same opportunities to recover from failures as Trump did.
"Obama stated that we will not gain from affirmative action for generational wealth. If we fail a business or experience a crisis, we won't receive another chance. If things don't go our way, we can't complain or cheat others to advance. No, we can't change the rules to always win."
Obama stated, "We don't expect an escalator to take us to the top when we see a mountain in front of us. Instead, we put our heads down and get to work. Kamala Harris embodies this mindset throughout her life with her strong backbone, steady upbringing, honest example, and joyful laughter."
The former first lady has previously criticized Trump at Democratic conventions, including in her 2020 speech where she accused the White House of operating in "chaos" and lacking "empathy," and urged voters to support Joe Biden.
In 2016, Obama criticized Trump, just as Trump had criticized Clinton four years prior.
""Let no one say that this country is not great, for it is the greatest on Earth," Obama declared in her 2016 convention speech in Philadelphia."
The Trump campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
"Obama urged delegates in Chicago on Tuesday to take Michelle Obama's request seriously, stating that the election would be close in a few states. He emphasized the importance of every vote, as a small number of votes in each precinct could determine the outcome."
"To ensure that our vote is counted and our voices are heard, we must vote in large numbers. We must overwhelm any attempts to suppress us and take control of our future. In just 77 days, we have the power to change the course of our country and move away from the fear, division, and smallness of the past. We can turn our hope into action and pay forward the love, sweat, and sacrifice of our ancestors. We have done it before, and we can do it again."
