JD Vance kicks off his campaign in Philadelphia on the first day of the DNC in Chicago.
JD Vance stated that the individual making this promise has been the cause of the problems they claim to fix.
Despite her current influential role in the White House, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for not fulfilling her campaign promise to lower prices "on day one."
"Kamala Harris is running around the country and saying that on Day One, she wants to bring the cost of goods and the cost of housing under control," Vance said. "However, we have a country that is being failed by its present leadership."
On Monday, Vance hosted a campaign event in Philadelphia, emphasizing the differences between his campaign platform and that of Trump and Harris.
"Kamala Harris has been vice president for about 1,300 days, yet she says on Day One, she wants to make groceries and homes more affordable for American citizens. Where has she been?"
"Three and a half years ago, on Day One, you should have been doing your job instead of making a promise to do it now," Vance remarked.
During her recent campaign, Harris stated that if she were elected, she would reduce food prices, put an end to price gouging, and decrease housing costs.
Vance emphasized the current high prices of electricity, food, and gas, attributing them to Kamala Harris' policies.
The person who has been creating problems for 1,300 days is promising to fix them and wants a promotion from the American people, according to him.
In Pennsylvania, a state that will significantly influence the 2024 election, Vance emphasized oil and energy while addressing voters.
"On Day One of the Trump presidency, we will start buying energy from our own land, our own people, and our own workers, instead of from tinpot dictators who hate this country. We will unleash Pennsylvania energy workers and drill, baby, drill."
Vance remarked that Harris had a great running mate in Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Vance stated that the closest Tim Walz has come to combat was during the riots in Minneapolis, where he allowed the city to be burned. Walz has recently faced criticism regarding his military service and status.
During the campaign event, Vance responded to queries from local journalists, following his statement, "It is disgraceful that Kamala Harris presents herself as a presidential candidate but refuses to face the American people without a teleprompter in between. Kamala, what are you so afraid of?"
The Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, marked the beginning of Vance's event.
