Jane Fonda and Bill Nye Headlined Climate Voters for Harris Campaign Event on Friday
A "proud climate ticket" was endorsed by actress Jane Fonda and other climate change activists on Friday.
The Climate Voters for Harris held a virtual call on Friday, two years after the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, to discuss the historic accomplishments of the IRA, receive messaging guidance, and learn about ways to get involved in the campaign.
Sweta Chakraborty, a behavioral scientist, hosted the call and stated that there was "palpable" excitement surrounding Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee.
The call also saw celebrity appearances from Fonda and TV personality Bill Nye.
Fonda urged individuals to "vote with their hearts for climate" and asserted that the Harris-Walz ticket is "our only chance."
"By sitting it out and voting for a third-party candidate, she was essentially casting her ballot for the orange man," she stated on the call.
The sentence is already in its alternative version.
Inslee stated that Kamala Harris fully comprehends the issue, recounting a tale of being at the White House and the vice president expressing her enthusiasm about addressing climate concerns.
Jake Shwartz, the Interim Climate Voters Director for the campaign, stated that Harris-Walz is a proud climate ticket.
The Trump-Vance ticket was criticized by some speakers who accused them of being pro-polluters and seeking to undermine American freedoms.
A clip of Harris stating that young people are not purchasing homes or having children due to "climate anxiety" has resurfaced, revealing his longtime support for climate change.
