Hamas is condemned by Tim Walz after being criticized for not answering a question about murdered hostages in Gaza.
On Sunday, Walz released a statement condemning Hamas as a "brutal terrorist organization."
On Sunday at the Minnesota State Fair, Tim Walz, the Democrat vice presidential nominee, seemed to overlook a query regarding the six hostages discovered dead in Gaza.
A video has been circulating online, featuring the Minnesota governor interacting with fans and addressing some queries.
In Gaza, six hostages have been found dead, and someone off camera asked Walz for his reaction.
Walz says, "Alright, thanks everybody," and exits the room.
It's unclear from the footage whether Walz heard the question, despite the impression given that he was intentionally evading it.
Some accused him of being a "coward" for failing to answer, despite the clip being enough to set X users alight.
The Harris-Walz campaign was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital to determine if the governor had heard the question and, if not, what his response would have been.
On Sunday, Walz issued a statement condemning Hamas as a "brutal terrorist organization."
"The loss of a child is a painful experience that no family should have to go through. Gwen and I express our deepest sympathies to the Goldberg-Polin family after the tragic murder of their son Hersh by Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organization that commits atrocities against both Americans and Israelis, and we strongly condemn their actions."
The rescue operation in the tunnels below Gaza's Rafah resulted in the death of six Israeli hostages, prompting Walz's appearance at the Minnesota State Fair.
Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an Israeli-American, was among the bodies recovered after being held by Hamas terrorists since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas on October 7th.
