Florida's 7th Congressional District reelects Cory Mills.
Since 2023, Mills has been representing the seat.
On Tuesday night, Cory Mills, a former combat veteran and current Rep. for Florida's 7th Congressional District, successfully defended his seat in the Republican primary.
The veteran, who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq, has been representing the seat since 2023. After being injured twice while overseas, Mills received a certificate of appreciation from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
The Republican congressman remained a devoted supporter of former President Trump during his first term, even appearing in Manhattan criminal court with him in May as Trump faced 34 felony charges of falsifying business records.
Mills defended his seat against veteran and Republican challenger Mike Johnson.
Johnson spent 30 years in the military, enlisting in the Army during the Vietnam conflict.
In 2022, Johnson ran for the Florida Senate before launching a bid for the House.
