Biden criticizes media and political elites on 'Morning Joe' as Democrats express concern over Trump re-election.
In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos, Biden was perceived as appearing "raspy and low energy."
The ABC interview featuring President Biden, which was heavily promoted by his campaign, failed to sway anyone's opinion about his ability to serve another term.
Biden struggled with stamina and clarity during his interview with George Stephanopoulos, frequently losing his train of thought or interrupting himself. Despite insisting he was not frail, he dismissed unfavorable polls and seemed to be in denial about the severity of the crisis he is facing. Although he improved from the disastrous debate, it was a low standard to meet.
It is inexplicable to me that Biden did not conduct any interviews after more than a week of rally speeches. He should have done at least six interviews to showcase his mental acuity.
It dawned on me that his close advisors doubt his capability to succeed. Conducting multiple interviews is a straightforward strategy, yet the White House concealed Biden's condition from numerous officials and staff, indicating a lack of confidence in his ability to avoid mistakes.
Yesterday, the president appeared on his favorite TV show, "Morning Joe," where MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, who frequently speaks with Biden, defended him on television. Although Scarborough suggested after the debate that Biden should step aside, he has since become more vocal in his support.
Did Biden believe that the Democrats were attempting to undermine the will of Democratic voters, as Trump did in 2020, according to Scarborough's inquiry?
I've been traveling extensively across the country for several reasons, including to confirm my instincts about the party's desire for me to be the nominee. While Trump is golfing around, I've been all over the country.
Mika Brzezinski, as a co-host, listed several critics who called for the president to resign.
"Jerry Nadler, Seth Moulton, and I would like to speak with Julian Castro, Tim Ryan, and David Axelrod."
"You’re kidding," said Biden, who has been angry at the former Obama-Biden White House official since he suggested last fall that Biden not run again.
"These are some notable individuals, including David Remnick, Richard Haass, and Zeke Emanuel."
Biden's reply: "I disregard the opinions of those prominent individuals. They were incorrect in 2020 and 2022 regarding the red wave. They are also incorrect in 2024."
Rewritten sentence: "I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the elites in the party, who seem to know so much more than the rest of us. I'm not talking about you guys, but about the elites who think they should run against me." Closing rant: "I'm getting so frustrated by the elites. Now, I'm not talking about you guys, but about the elites in the party who think they know so much more. If any of these guys don't think I should run, run against me. I'm sick of their arrogance and condescension. It's time for a change, and I'm the one who can bring it about."
Biden is well positioned to run against "media elites, New York Times editorial page, billionaire donors, and Hollywood moguls," according to former GOP congressman Scarborough.
Despite his long tenure in the Senate, eight years as vice president, and almost four years as president, Biden is viewed as a pillar of the Washington establishment least capable of making a strong case against Trump. Despite his close relationship with many Democrats, they believe Trump will ultimately defeat him.
Examine two interviews Biden conducted with Black radio stations in Pennsylvania last week, which were typical for any candidate.
The White House argued that it was standard practice to send questions in advance, but this is an ethical breach.
CNN reported that Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who interviewed Biden on WURD-FM, admitted to using four advance questions and was subsequently fired by the station.
WURD CEO Sara Lomax stated that using pre-determined questions goes against the station's practice of being an independent media outlet accountable to its listeners. WURD is not a tool for the Biden or any other administration.
Earl Ingram, a host at WMCS in Milwaukee, admitted using the same four White House questions. In response, the administration has announced that it will stop sending out suggested questions.
Despite knowing what was coming, Biden still made a mistake during the Lawful-Sanders interview. He claimed to be proud of being "the first Black woman to serve with a Black president." What?
Biden promised to hold a solo news conference during the NATO summit in Washington this week, which will test his ability to answer tough questions, but should have been done earlier.
New information highlights the administration's lack of transparency, as some major donors have stated they will not give the Democrats any more money if Biden remains the nominee.
The White House doctor, Kevin O’Connor, had a specialist in Parkinson’s disease meet with a medical liaison 10 times, beginning in 2022 and most recently in March. The neurologist, Kevin Cannard, had not been previously disclosed. The White House issued a non-denial, stating that a variety of specialists from Walter Reed visit the White House.
Biden has repeatedly refused to take a neurological exam.
Since the 1980s, Biden has been determined to become president. Despite being written off multiple times, he remains committed to the job. With 99% of delegates pledged to him, no one can challenge his claim to the presidency.
Without Biden's consent, there will be no "blitz primary" or Biden resigning and giving the presidency to Kamala Harris, as some media liberals and Democrats have suggested.
Now to the role of the media.
The media's failure to expose the White House's coverup of the president's true condition may have been due to their lack of aggression or fear of pushback from the White House. The president's age has been a topic of discussion for months, and the White House may have discouraged the media from focusing on it.
From what was on television, it was evident that Biden was struggling with coherence, stumbling, and mumbling. A comparison of Biden from 2020 or 2021 shows a significant difference.
The "Morning Joe" panel denounced the Wall Street Journal's report a month ago that "Behind Closed Doors, Biden Is Seen As Slipping." Now, other reputable sources such as the New York Times and CNN's Carl Bernstein have published even more damaging stories.
On Sunday's "Media Buzz," Mollie Hemingway and Ben Shapiro contended that the president's actions were an open secret and that journalists were intentionally concealing it. Mollie suggested that the White House press corps should collectively resign.
I asked FOX's senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich how often she sees Biden on the road, and she replied "not at all."
She said that the only exceptions were increasingly rare shouted questions and an occasional gaggle.
Yesterday, Karine Jean-Pierre was heavily criticized for not revealing the visits of a Parkinson's specialist, as per White House logs, but she stated that she was legally prohibited from confirming any names for security reasons.
Although I have no direct access to Biden or his inner circle, I have observed the decline in television coverage of his presidency. The negative coverage of Trump, which many journalists consider a threat to democracy, may be contributing to this decline.
The idea that journalists were aware of these secrets contradicts the notion that the candidate, who refused to do a Super Bowl interview, was kept isolated and protected by his longtime handlers.
