On the third anniversary of the Kabul airport attack, President Biden continued his vacation without any scheduled remarks or events. This came after he criticized former President Donald Trump for canceling a World War I memorial visit just weeks prior.
During his presidency, Trump canceled a planned visit to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in 2018 due to bad flying weather for Marine One, with the Atlantic reporting that the trip was called off due to the rain affecting his hair. Biden made a visit to the cemetery in France in June and took a dig at Trump for the past report, which Trump and several members of his administration who were on the trip have since refuted.
In June, Biden paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and declared that those who served our country are heroes, not losers. He shared this sentiment on X, along with a video montage of people criticizing Trump.
On Monday, it was three years since 13 American service members were killed in a suicide bombing attack during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Biden remained absent from the White House for the second week in a row.

Biden's absence, according to Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz, indicates everything.
"Biden-Harris's Afghanistan withdrawal three years ago resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members. President Trump honored them at Arlington Cemetery today, while Biden is currently on vacation."
Mark Schmitz, a Gold Star father, told Planet Chronicle Digital that they were not surprised that neither of them would attend the event.
On the anniversary, the White House issued a statement, but Biden did not participate in any memorial events, as per his public schedule.

On the anniversary, Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, honoring the service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan. Along with him, Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and the Trump campaign were joined by members of the Gold Star families during a call with reporters on Monday afternoon.
