Zuckerberg claims that the Biden administration would verbally abuse and demand censorship from Facebook employees.
The political establishment's push for censorship resulted in their "election loss," according to Zuckerberg's joke.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, members of President Biden's administration verbally abused his employees, pressuring them to remove content on their behalf.
Meta has announced that it will be ending its content moderation practices and lifting restrictions on speech to "restore free expression" on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta platforms. Zuckerberg has admitted that the platform's current practices have gone too far, while also acknowledging the struggles to maintain freedom of expression while facing pressure from the Biden administration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The social media CEO stated that during the Biden administration, while they were trying to roll out the vaccine program, they also tried to censor anyone who argued against it. They pushed the CEO to take down things that were true, claiming that anything saying vaccines might have side effects needed to be removed. However, the CEO refused to comply, stating that it was inarguably true that vaccines might have side effects."
""Who was telling you to remove content discussing vaccine side effects?" Rogan inquired."
The Meta CEO stated that it was individuals from the Biden administration.
He elaborated on the "government censorship," stating that much of it has been examined by the congressional investigation. He said, "In essence, individuals from the Biden administration would contact our team and yell at them, using profanity, while the documents in question are publicly available."
Zuckerberg stated that the conflict between his company and the government had reached a point where they were unwilling to remove content deemed true, which he considered absurd.
After the investigation, Rogan inquired, "Were any individuals held responsible? Did any consequences occur?"
"I mean they lost the election," Zuckerberg joked.
