Despite President Donald Trump's executive orders and Big Tech's shift towards him, the fight against the "woke mind virus" is not yet over, according to a prominent software company investor.

On "The Will Cain Show," Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of Palantir and OpenGov, stated that Trump's decision to speed up AI development is crucial for increasing productivity growth in the US.

On the first day of his second term, Trump announced a significant AI infrastructure project with Softbank, OpenAI, and Oracle. The joint venture represents a substantial private sector investment in building data centers to drive AI in the U.S.

The newly elected president has secured fresh relationships with leaders of major tech companies.

The CEOs of Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google, and Tesla/SpaceX were all given prime real estate at the inauguration.

Lonsdale stated that although he does not trust these tech giants completely, he believes people should wait to see if these industry leaders will show "courage" in opposing "bad ideas."

"These individuals reside in a society infected with a virus that has awakened their minds, yet is still plagued by harmful ideologies. They have gained control of our universities and tech companies," he stated.

It will be intriguing to observe whether tech leaders remain loyal to Trump, who has issued numerous anti-DEI and progressive executive orders, during his second term.

Will they join us or not? I'm uncertain, but we must remain cautious and continue to fight this battle. This battle is not yet over, he stated.
