After Trump's inauguration, Chicago resident who sued city over migrant crisis says "change is coming."
President Trump is being prayed for by Chicagoan Cata Truss.
A Chicago resident who sued the city over its migrant crisis stated that "change is imminent" with President Donald Trump's inauguration.
In January 2024, Cata Truss, a Chicago Democrat, urged the city to revoke its sanctuary status due to limited community resources.
Truss rejoiced that the crisis can be tackled under new White House leadership after she had urged city leaders to discuss the issue but no one was willing to talk.
"Truss expressed excitement about the upcoming change, stating that the city cannot continue to lose money as it has been. However, he expressed concerns about classes being held to teach migrants how to avoid ICE or evade ICE, which he believes is teaching illegals to be more illegal. Despite this, Truss has faith in Tom Homan and the current president."
Truss expressed confidence that Chicagoans are prepared to "rise to the occasion" and aid the Trump administration in returning illegal migrants to their home countries.
""We are ready and willing to help as Chicagoans to ensure that criminals who come here to set up their operations are sent home," she continued."
Despite what some Democratic politicians claim, most Chicagoans are not satisfied with the migrant crisis, according to Truss's statement on Planet Chronicle.
"Despite what our mayor and Gov. Pritzker claim about Chicagoans' feelings and position, we are unhappy with what is happening here. However, we are thrilled that President Trump is in office and that Tom Homan and his team are coming to help us resolve the issues that our mayor and governor appear to be content with keeping us in."
In the 2024 election, individuals either voted for Trump or did not participate in the voting process.
"Despite what the governor may say, the people are not satisfied with the election results, as triple the number of voters did not show up to vote."
Truss also spoke about the importance of praying for those in public office.
"I urge Americans to pray for President Trump, this administration, and our country as we work towards peace, love, protections, and the good of the nation. Let us keep these values at the forefront of our focus as we navigate the policies that President Trump plans to implement in America."
