White female voters' betrayal has caused Black women to lose interest in "saving America," according to Joy Reid.
Black women have resigned from the coalition aimed at "Saving the Democratic Party," according to Reid.
Joy Reid, a far-left MSNBC host, stated that Black women no longer feel the need to "save America" due to the betrayal of White female voters who unexpectedly voted for President-elect Donald Trump.
In a TikTok video on Saturday, Reid advised White female progressives not to invite Black women to their protest against Trump's victory.
The speaker advised White progressive women considering marching against Trump's victory not to invite Black women, stating that they are unlikely to attend.
Reid stated that Black women have likely resigned from the "Save America," "Save Democracy," and "Save the Democratic Party" coalitions.
Last week, Reid attributed Harris' North Carolina loss to White women voters, stating on MSNBC that "Black voters supported Kamala Harris, but White women did not come through for her."
The state where women lost their reproductive rights was heavily pushed to focus on not electing the person responsible for taking those rights away and restoring them. However, this message was not enough to convince enough White women to vote for Vice President Harris, a fellow woman.
"This is the second chance for White women in this country to alter their interactions with patriarchy, as Reid pointed out, following Hillary Clinton's 2016 defeat. If individuals are not open to change and vote based on party lines or race rather than gender, there is little that can be done to effect change."
On Saturday, Reid reiterated her claim that Black women are retreating into their communities after processing Harris' loss, in a TikTok video.
"I would suggest keeping those invites among your own friends because I believe Black women are now more focused on prioritizing Black men, communities, businesses, and spaces. However, saving America and the Democratic Party? I don't think that's a priority for Black women."
Despite her campaign's efforts to secure the support of White female voters on the issue of reproductive rights, Joe Biden outperformed Donald Trump among this demographic in the 2020 election, with 52% of White female voters choosing Trump and 46% choosing Biden, according to AP VoteCast.
The media has been quick to blame Democrats for losing the election, with "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin targeting White female voters who she believes "voted against their reproductive health freedoms," and MSNBC host Alex Wagner expressing disappointment over Trump-supporting "White non-college-educated" women who voted against the interests of their "Black and Brown sisters," lamenting the "loss of allyship" from White women after they "get married."
Trump has won every battleground state and is on track to secure the national popular vote, as well as the most decisive victory in the Electoral College since Obama's 2012 win.
