WH advisors express frustration as Biden remains unavailable in the final weeks before Trump takes office.

According to Politico, some White House officials are criticizing President Biden for his lack of leadership and "conspicuous absence" in the final weeks before President-elect DonTrump assumes office on Jan. 20.
"A senior Democrat close to lawmakers told Politico that there is no leadership coming from the White House and there is a complete absence of leadership."
Since Vice President Kamala Harris' loss, Biden has mostly avoided lengthy press briefings and interviews, which has caused frustration among some in the White House and his party.
Biden allies have admitted that he has been "conspicuously absent" from the broader discourse as Democrats navigate being out of power when Republicans take control of both the White House and both chambers of Congress next month.
A former White House official told Politico that "He has been careless and self-centered in his approach to the final weeks of the job."
A former campaign adviser to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo stated that if his speaking out does not accomplish any strategic objectives, there is no purpose in doing it.
According to Politico, other lawmakers and Democratic strategists explained that Biden's actions are a natural result of Vice President Kamala Harris losing the election to Trump.
Sen. Peter Welch, D-Vt., stated that elections have consequences, as seen with the new sheriff in town.
Other Democrats were looking for leadership positions, according to Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del.
""While I believe Biden has much to teach us, there are many other candidates vying for attention," Coons stated."
In 2028, Gavin Newsom of California and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan have been considered as potential Democratic presidential candidates.
Other Democrats contended that Biden's limited media appearances were part of his political plan.
"Mike Ceraso, a Democratic campaign strategist, stated that President Obama and he have viewed the transition period as an opportunity to maintain a low profile and avoid causing controversy or disrupting the incoming administration's plans."
"A Democrat close to senior lawmakers stated that in their conversations, they don't discuss the president, which is sad because it feels like Trump is already the president."
