Walz's COVID rules defier, Grandma, jailed and delivers a warning: 'America must be aware'
Lisa Hanson was found guilty of misdemeanor offenses due to disregarding stringent COVID-19 confinement guidelines.
Gov. Tim Walz's leadership has received mixed reviews from Minnesota residents, despite Kamala Harris praising him as her VP pick.
The former business owner criticized the executive's policies, describing a situation where she was threatened with imprisonment for disobeying Walz's strict COVID-19 lockdown rules.
Lisa Hanson stated on "America's Newsroom," Wednesday that Tim Walz's policies violate the rights of the American people, particularly the Minnesotans. She claimed that Walz's policies led to the destruction of numerous businesses in Minnesota, which will never reopen. Additionally, she asserted that Walz's policies have caused significant harm to the lives of many Minnesotans.
In 2020, the Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro in Albert Lea, owned by Hanson, had been open for eight years amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, Hanson followed the shutdown order, but the grandmother of 18 observed that Walz did not fully reopen the state when it came to nonessential businesses.
"America needs to know what kind of a man Tim Walz is." - Former Minnesota small business owner Lisa Hanson
Hanson repeatedly disobeyed Walz's shutdown order for bars and restaurants six times between December 2020 and January 2021, ultimately deciding to reopen her business.
Hanson explained that in November, he told his husband again that they couldn't survive another shutdown, so he had two options: either permanently close his business or fully open it to see if they could make it through.
In December 2021, she was convicted on misdemeanor charges and received the maximum sentence of 90 days and a $1,000 fine. However, Hanson ended up serving only two-thirds of her sentence, 60 days.
"These leaders were tyrannical, and there were no rights when I encountered them," she stated. "It's crucial to share this story, and America must know about Tim Walz's character."
In December 2020, Hanson reopened her wine and coffee bistro. However, within 24 to 48 hours, the state targeted her business with a vengeance, sending the health department to shut her down. This led to a series of civil and criminal cases against her.
Hanson stated that her business was forced to shut down due to intense government pressure, resulting in tens of thousands of legal fees and fines.
Hanson, who has since moved to Iowa, stated that the man is a criminal and should be impeached and prosecuted.
