VP Kamala Harris' policy accomplishments unclear to her supporters when asked.
One supporter told Planet Chronicle Digital that they are uncertain about their knowledge of her achievements to accurately answer that question.
Interviews with attendees of Vice President Kamala Harris' address to the American Federation of Teachers' Convention last week revealed difficulty in identifying specific policy achievements by the presidential hopeful.
Bernard, an independent voter from New York, admitted to Planet Chronicle Digital on Thursday at the annual event in Houston, Texas that he knows very little about what she did.
Eric, a Harris supporter from Massachusetts, stated that he was uncertain about his knowledge of her accomplishments to accurately answer that question.
The address of Harris to ATF members emphasized campaign issues, including removing voter ID to increase mail-in voting, prohibiting assault weapons, safeguarding LGBTQ+ rights, and reinstating national abortion access.
According to two attendees, the Biden-Harris administration "met the needs of working people" and the vice president was "an excellent advocate for working people, particularly children."
Since she was a prosecutor in California, Harris has been a leader in human rights, civil rights, and LGBTQ rights.
April from Illinois said that Harris's election as vice president was "inspirational to so many" because she is a woman. "Having a woman in the White House as VP is incredible and amazing," she said.
Amy from New York commended the vice president for "guiding the country and supporting women," and pushing for "women's rights" and "assault weapons ban."
Supporters applauded Harris' support for unions.
Ron from Kansas stated that Kamala Harris supports our union values, including collective bargaining and the power of unions to enhance wages for working families nationwide.
The administration's student debt handouts were also mentioned as a topic of loan forgiveness by attendees.
Under the Biden administration, loan forgiveness was described as "life changing" by Cassandra from Michigan, while another proud Harris supporter cited loan forgiveness and said Harris is "still defending and supporting the Affordable Care Act."
"She fights for education," Michelle from Texas added.
Little was said about her time as California attorney general, senator, and vice president, despite her titles being highlighted by attendees.
A New York attendee stated that she definitely left her mark on history as the first African American female vice president and is set to become the first president as a woman of color.
