US national security is at risk after the New Orleans attack and Tesla Cybertruck explosion, according to Tom Homan.
Despite authorities stating otherwise, Homan believes that the Las Vegas and New Orleans incidents are connected based on his "gut feeling."
Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump's incoming "border czar," issued a warning about the state of U.S. national security following the terror attack in New Orleans and the Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day.
On "America Reports" on Thursday, the former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement director stated that the US is in immediate danger due to the southern border's vulnerability to national security threats.
"Despite the recent incidents in Las Vegas and New Orleans, the administration continues to release thousands of people without proper vetting, putting the country in grave danger, according to Homan."
Over 2 million people entered this country, but we don't know who they are, where they came from, or their purpose for coming.
Homan expressed his anticipation for President-elect Trump to regain "authority" to safeguard the border and safeguard our country's security.
The suspect, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, plowed into dozens at a New Year's parade on Bourbon Street in New Orleans with an ISIS flag, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 30. He was killed in a shootout with police.
Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas, had previously served in the U.S. military. Prior to the attack, Jabbar posted on Facebook that he had joined ISIS before the summer and left a will and testament, according to the FBI.
The Las Vegas suspect, identified by law enforcement as Matthew Livelsberger, was being investigated by authorities for a potential military connection with Jabbar. Livelsberger, a U.S. Army active-duty Special Forces operations sergeant on leave from Germany, where he was serving with the 10th Special Forces Group and most recently served as a Green Beret.
Officials suspect Livelsberger as the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's Day. The truck contained gasoline and camp fuel containers, as well as large firework mortars.
Despite the FBI and police not finding any evidence to link the New Orleans New Year's attack and the Las Vegas explosion, Homan believes both attacks are connected based on his "gut feeling."
"Homan expressed his gut feeling to Planet Chronicle anchor Sandra Smith, stating that he has been doing this for three-and-a-half decades and believes there are too many similarities. He explained that he thinks there is too much coincidence and that something down the road will reveal a connection. Although he acknowledged that he could be wrong, he stood firm in his belief."
The Biden administration neglected "insider threat analysis," which Homan, with his military background, urged the incoming Trump administration to prioritize.
Two military personnel who served in the military are alleged to have committed these terrorist acts. We must investigate insider threats in our military and federal service, as warned.
The FBI stated on Thursday that investigators believe the New Orleans terror attack suspect acted independently, even though there was earlier speculation of a possible connection to the Tesla Cybertruck blast.
Both Jabbar and Livelsberger were assigned to Fort Liberty, which was previously known as Fort Bragg, in North Carolina. However, a U.S. official stated that there was no overlap in their assignments there. They served at the same base, but at different times, and currently, over 50,000 U.S. service members are stationed at Fort Liberty.
Christopher Raia, FBI Deputy Assistant Director of Counterterrorism, stated on Thursday that there is no definitive link between the attack in New Orleans and the one in Las Vegas, despite an ongoing FBI investigation in Las Vegas. The agency is currently following up on all potential leads and not ruling anything out.
