Trump's electoral gains in 2020 surpass the previous record by over 30 years, according to CNN data analyst.
According to Harry Enten of CNN, Trump's performance in the latest election marked the biggest improvement for the GOP in over three decades.
On Election Day, President-elect Donald Trump's victory was remarkably significant, as demonstrated by CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten's analysis of the numbers.
In the Friday episode of "CNN News Central," Enten discussed how Trump's performance in the presidential election surpassed the previous improvement made by his party since 1992.
"What was the last time a party gained in so many different places? he inquired. "You have to go all the way back to 1992 when Bill Clinton improved on Michael Dukakis’ performance in 49 states, plus the District of Columbia.""
Donald Trump's performance on Tuesday was the best for a Republican presidential candidate in exit poll history, surpassing all previous records.
In the 2020 election, the president-elect outperformed his party in 49 states and Washington, D.C., except for Washington state where he did not improve.
"I believe the magnitude of Donald Trump's improvement was truly impressive!"
Donald Trump is improving on his 2016 performance in every state except Washington, which means he is on track to become the first Republican to win the popular vote since George W. Bush in 2004, as stated by CNN anchor Kate Bolduan.
Trump made significant gains among young, Black, and Latino voters in the election, as Enten demonstrated.
"It's astonishing how much support Donald Trump has gained among groups that were once thought to be against him, just eight years after his first win against Hillary Clinton."
Trump's GOP showing among 18-29 year olds was the best in twenty years, surpassing the previous record set in 2004. In terms of Black voters, Trump's performance was the best for a Republican candidate for president in 48 years since Gerald Ford, since 1976.
Since the start of exit polling among Hispanic voters in 1972, it was the best performance he had seen.
According to the exit polls, Donald Trump's performance on Tuesday was the best for a Republican presidential candidate in history. He surpassed all previous Republican candidates by breaking history. This is significant because it shows that Trump was able to win over groups that were previously thought to be unsupportive of him, even as a Republican candidate.
