Trump media director claims that Kamala Harris lacks star power and that nobody is interested in seeing her.
Beyoncé is predicted to appear at a campaign rally in Texas alongside VP Harris on Friday.
Some critics are accusing the campaign of over-relying on celebrity endorsements, with stars such as Taylor Swift, Eminem, and Usher among those who have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
"Janiyah Thomas, the Black media affairs director for Trump 2024, stated on "The Faulkner Focus" on Friday that she believes Kamala Harris is utilizing celebrities because no one wants to attend her events."
"I believe people are not interested in attending an arena for her performance. Instead, they are coming to witness famous celebrities. Specifically, they want to see a Megan Thee Stallion concert and an Usher performance. I think she needs the celebrity influence to increase her popularity and excitement among her audience."
On Friday, Harris will travel to Texas to hold a rally highlighting the state's abortion laws, and she will be joined by Beyoncé, according to three people familiar with the event, as reported by the Associated Press on Thursday morning.
Although Beyoncé, a Houston native, has not yet publicly endorsed Harris for president, her hit song "Freedom" has been prominently featured in Harris' rallies, including serving as her walk-up song before she speaks to supporters.
During a campaign rally in Georgia on Thursday, Harris joined forces with a widely recognized Democratic Party figure, former President Obama.
Obama's campaign comments towards Black men who are losing support for Harris have been subject to criticism.
"Thomas stated that Obama's campaign appearances were disgusting due to pandering. He believed that Obama, who was staying at his Martha's Vineyard estate, was out of touch with the people and should not be giving them advice on how to think and vote."
At Thursday evening's rally, rock legend Bruce Springsteen, who has been supporting Democratic presidential candidates for two decades and was referred to as an "American icon" by Harris, performed three songs.
Spoke were actor, filmmaker, and playwright Tyler Perry, film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor Spike Lee, and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
The Trump campaign's rapid response director, Jake Schneider, criticized the star-studded event, stating that "using celebrities is a common practice for the party of Hollywood elites."
The ex-president has garnered endorsements from several celebrities, including country music star Jason Aldean, Tesla founder Elon Musk, hip-hop artist Kanye West, singer Kid Rock, actors Jon Voight and Kelsey Grammar, former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, former Indy racer Danica Patrick, and celebrity chef Paula Deen.
Although the campaign received a lot of attention from Hollywood, Harris is having difficulty keeping the support of Black Americans, a group that traditionally votes Democrat.
Thomas stated that he believes Harris' experience is a delusional world, and she is not willing to acknowledge the fact that they are losing their main voting bloc, which includes black, Latino, and suburban women. He believes that she is not facing the reality that these people are looking towards President Trump because his policies benefit these communities more.
In the seven weeks between surveys, Harris's support among Latino and Black voters has decreased. A recent USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll shows that Latino voters now back Trump by 49% to 38%, while Black voters prefer Harris by 72% to 17%. However, this 55-point edge among Black voters is significantly less than the advantage Democrats traditionally enjoy.
The Harris campaign has intensified its efforts to win over crucial voting groups as the Democrats' traditional advantage has weakened.
