Trump campaign official cautions against giving Kamala Harris a 'free ride' in media coverage.
Trump campaign manager Chris LaCivita accused the mainstream media of gaslighting the American people.
Chris LaCivita, co-campaign manager for Trump, claims that the press is giving Vice President Kamala Harris a "free ride" and misleading Americans about the economy through gaslighting.
"The press has given her a free ride. She went weeks without even having to answer questions. So, they gave her a bit of a honeymoon," LaCivita said Wednesday on "The Brian Kilmeade Show."
Since becoming the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Harris has gone 24 days without holding a formal press conference or sit-down interview. She has only briefly talked to reporters during gaggles and has mostly stuck to scripted remarks. Some mainstream pundits have argued that Harris doesn't need to take questions from reporters.
"LaCivita stated that the economy is the most significant difference between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, as they are currently attending the Democratic convention to put on a show."
Since Harris assumed the role of vice president, gas prices have increased by 51%, electricity by 32%, fuel and oil by 50%, airfare by 23%, hotels by 51%, and food and groceries by over 21%. Despite this, the Harris campaign and the mainstream media continue to gaslight the American people, claiming that everything is fine.
"Americans are aware of their suffering and are more intelligent than the Democrats believe, so they will not be manipulated."
Trump recently held a lengthy press conference, had a lengthy conversation with supporter and X owner Elon Musk for over two hours on "Space" Monday and announced another press conference for Thursday. However, Trump has scolded the media for only covering technical issues of the X event, and LaCivita doesn't feel the Mar-a-Lago presser received quality coverage.
During his press conference at Mar-a-Lago, the president answered every conceivable question for an hour, but none of those answers have ever been discussed on the vast majority of those questions.
"LaCivita stated, "He discussed inflation and our global standing. Thus, the campaign's focus has always been about improving Americans' chances of success, which will continue.""
