Trey Yingst searches for missing American journalist Austin Tice in an abandoned Syrian detention site.
Tice sisters appear on 'America's Newsroom,' voice dissatisfaction with Secretary of State Blinken.
The Syrian regime's upheaval is sparking renewed hope for Austin Tice and his family.
The journalist, who was once a U.S. Marine, disappeared 12 years ago while reporting in Daraya, a suburb of Damascus. A video of him wearing a black blindfold was released months later, but he has not been seen or heard from since.
In search of information on Tice, a detention site where the Assad regime held some of their "most important" prisoners, according to locals, Planet Chronicle' Trey Yingst headed to the National Security building in Damascus, Syria after receiving a tip from a U.S. intelligence source.
According to Yingst, officials appeared to have hastily vacated the building and set everything on fire after the fall of the Syrian regime in an attempt to "destroy as much information as possible."
Yingst examined the basement of the detention center, which are infamous in Syria as prisons, and discovered evidence of "torture and deplorable conditions," emphasizing the urgent need for action.
Detailed prisoner logs for a variety of Syrian detention centers were kept in some rooms within the building.
Yingst managed to retrieve "thousands" of prisoner cards, yet failed to obtain any details regarding Austin Tice.

Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State, stated that he is taking all necessary steps to aid those searching for the "thousands" of missing individuals.
Austin Tice, an American journalist, is included in our determination to find him and return him home to his family and loved ones, Blinken stated to reporters in Aqaba, Jordan on Thursday.
Naomi Tice and Meagan Tice Malone, Austin's sisters, reacted to Blinken's comments by saying that it was "incredibly frustrating" to hear him make rosy claims about the situation.
Meagan Tice stated on Friday that it is extremely frustrating to hear those words from Secretary Blinken because they have not received any assistance or aid.
"The lack of follow-through from Secretary Blinken's promise has made hearing his message about not knowing who to contact for services even more frustrating."
Sister Naomi Tice ended her speech by urging both President Biden and President-elect Trump to assist in "reuniting Austin."
