This Memorial Day weekend, Dollywood is set to unveil an exhilarating new attraction.
As 'The Dolly Parton Experience' premieres, the country music icon looks back on her life.
Dollywood theme park is introducing a new attraction this Memorial Day weekend, which is a journey through the life of country music legend Dolly Parton.
A new interactive museum in Tennessee, "The Dolly Parton Experience," opened Friday, featuring the most significant moments in the musical icon's career and life, as well as her iconic wardrobe.
"I've been moving so quickly, I believe I've encountered myself returning," she stated on "America Reports" on Friday. "This is precisely what we're experiencing with the Dolly Experience. As I strolled through the entire experience yesterday, viewing the museum and all the accomplishments I've achieved here, it felt like a mind and time warp."
Parton stated that she was moved to tears by the tribute to her loved ones and reflecting on her journey. She feels that everything in her life was destined to happen.
"As I believe, when something is meant to happen, you'll receive assistance from unexpected sources, even if you're unaware of how it's happening," she stated. "This aligns with my faith and spiritual life."
As she prepares to release a new album and original musical about her life, Parton expressed gratitude to the "wonderful people" who work with her and make her look "awfully good."
"The album we're releasing is a musical journey through our family's history, tracing our roots back to the UK in the 1700s and exploring the influences we've had along the way, including our partners and audiences. With a wealth of songs included, we're also excited to share our story through a docuseries that delves into the history of our music and family."
The renowned country music artist, celebrated for her optimistic outlook, discussed the significance of maintaining hope and belief in the world.
"People are too focused on the negativity in the world and are neglecting the good that exists. Instead of focusing on the bad, we should try to find the good and help uplift others. While there are things we cannot control, we can still spread love and try to find peace within our own lives. By doing so, we can make a positive impact on those around us."
Parton advised others to maintain a "faith base" and not let material possessions consume them. She thanked the soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for our liberties.
"Through my faith and belief in something greater than myself and the chaos around me, I am able to cope. I strive to share this light with others and encourage us to focus on the positive."
