The Washington Post Editorial Board stated that Vice President Kamala Harris' concealment of President Biden's cognitive decline was a contributing factor to her party's significant losses on Election Day.

The board contended in an editorial on Friday that the White House's persistent denial of Biden's mental acuity concerns damaged the party's "credibility," which led to Americans making their voting decisions accordingly.

The subheadline stated, "The Democrats' concealment of the president's deterioration harmed their assertion of being the party of honesty."

The editorial started by criticizing Harris for rejecting Hur's claim that Biden is an "elderly man with a poor memory" in his report on the investigation into Biden's classified documents case.

The editorial board noted that Vice President Kamala Harris accused special counsel Robert K. Hur's report of being "gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate" when it was released in February. She also claimed that Hur was "politically motivated" and questioned his integrity, highlighting how far prominent Democrats were willing to go to conceal Joe Biden's health issues.

"Ms. Harris angrily responded to reporters, stating that the characterization of the president's demeanor in the report was completely incorrect. The board also noted that Mr. Hur had been exonerated in the nine months since the incident."

The Democratic establishment supported Biden despite evidence of his decline and his decision not to seek a second term.

The board stated that the party's admission of truth was a result of Biden's debate performance, and that this late change of heart exposed the Democrats' issues with credibility to the public.

The White House's aggressive coverup of Mr. Biden's decline undermined Democrats' claim to be the party that prioritizes fidelity to science, facts, and truth.

"Mr. Biden's allies dismissed embarrassing video clips by labeling them "cheap fakes" and "disinformation," while the president's allies frequently used the term "disinformation" to discredit content they didn't approve of. When journalists accurately reported on Mr. Biden's decline, the White House fed critical talking points to other media outlets."

"The more they spun, the less credible they appeared," The Post declared.

Despite Democratic leaders acknowledging Biden's difficulties in running for re-election, the editorial board criticized the Biden administration for continuing to protect him until the very end. The board accused White House stenographers of altering the transcript to minimize the harm caused by his recent "rubbish" remarks.

The editorial board stated that the toll on believability was taken by all of this, with polls showing that more voters believed Mr. Trump would fulfill his campaign promises than Ms. Harris would hers.

The Post clarified that while Harris' apparent avoidance of candor on Biden's health was not the decisive factor in this week's election, it revealed that Democratic Party members need to "live up to their billing as truth-tellers" in order to "resuscitate their brand."

Neither the Harris campaign nor the White House responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry for comment.
