The Trump administration's "border czar" communicates with Aurora's police chief following the apprehension of suspected gang members.
Tom Homan suggests turning these individuals over to ICE.
Tom Homan, Trump's "border czar," urged the Aurora police chief to surrender Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members to ICE agents for deportation.
In a home invasion on Tuesday, the Aurora Police Department apprehended 14 individuals suspected of being members of the TdA gang, who were the focus of a viral video during the summer.
Todd Chamberlain, Aurora Police Department Chief, stated that the arrests at The Edge at Lowry Apartments were a result of a gang incident.
On "America Reports," Homan stated on Tuesday that the only thing missing from Chamberlain's press conference was an ICE agent standing beside him at the podium.
"Homan stated, "He may be talking the talk, but we hope he walks the walk and hands these people over to ICE once he's done with them, as we can remove them not only from the community but from the country. If law enforcement officers don't assist us, we will take action starting January 21st.""
John Roberts reported that Homan is open to meeting with mayors from blue states to address the immigration crisis.
"I'll meet with anyone because this is about public safety and national security. So let's work together. You don't have to be immigration officers. We'll do that. But be cops. Be law enforcement. Be elected representatives for your community," he said. "Love your community a little more than you hate Trump."
In July, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on TdA for engaging in various criminal activities, including human smuggling and trafficking, gender-based violence, money laundering, and illicit drug trafficking.
The Biden-Harris Administration is deploying all available tools and authorities against criminal organizations like Tren de Aragua, which exploit vulnerable populations for profit, engage in various illegal activities across borders, and abuse the U.S. financial system, as stated by Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson in a Treasury statement.
When President-elect Donald Trump assumes office in January, he has pledged to execute large-scale expulsions of unlawful immigrants who entered the country during the past three and a half years of the Biden-Harris administration.
"Trump announced at a Mar-a-Lago press conference in August that the country would begin its largest mass deportation in history due to a lack of options. He stated that it was not sustainable and would begin with violent criminals, followed by other criminals. Local police would work with them to identify and remove the individuals."
