The media intensified its efforts to link Trump to Project 2025 after the Biden debate fiasco, and Harris endorsed the attack.

One co-host of 'The View' described Project 2025 as the most terrifying thing they had ever encountered.

Last month, as the country focused on the collapse of President Biden's campaign, legacy media outlets reported on a conservative group's plan that they claimed would be implemented in a hypothetical second term for former President Trump.

The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, launched in April 2023, is a conservative plan for a future Republican administration to reform the federal government. While Trump has criticized certain aspects of the plan, liberal pundits argue that supporting Trump is equivalent to supporting Project 2025.

Although Project 2025 has been publicly available for over 15 months, liberal media outlets intensely focused on it after Biden's debate disaster, which coincided with Democrats and their media allies using it as an anti-Trump talking point.

In the days following the debate from June 28 to July 24, CNN mentioned Project 2025 a whopping 463 times, compared to only 36 times in the 25 days leading up to the debate, from June 1 to June 26.

MSNBC had previously devoted significant coverage to Project 2025, referencing it 288 times in the 25 days leading up to the debate. However, following the debate, MSNBC mentioned it an astonishing 1,614 times in just a month, almost entirely in a negative manner.

During the pre-debate period, the New York Times mentioned Project 2025 seven times, according to its website's search results. Following the debate, Project 2025 generated 75 search results on the Gray Lady's website.

Since the debate, "Good Morning America," "The View," and "World News Tonight" have mentioned Project 2025 29 times, compared to only three times before the debate. Meanwhile, NBC and CBS morning and evening newscasts have mentioned Project 2025 a few times since the debate, after previously ignoring it entirely.

Noah Weinrich, the public relations director of the Heritage Foundation, believes that the left is employing Project 2025 as a tactic to divert voters' attention.

The Harris-Biden administration and its allies in the left-wing media have intensified their false accusations against Project 2025 since Biden's disastrous debate. They cannot run on their failed policies, so they are resorting to lying about the contents of Project 2025 and claiming a connection to President Trump, as Weinrich stated on Planet Chronicle Digital.

"Weinrich clarified that Project 2025 is not affiliated with the Trump campaign and does not endorse the left's extremist proposals, stating that the current news cycle is merely fake news."

During the year leading up to the debate, Project 2025 received approximately 63 media mentions per day, according to Heritage Foundation research. However, the number of media mentions increased significantly following the debate, with an average of 1,840 mentions per day from June 27 through July 25.

Since Biden's debate meltdown, there has been a significant increase in interest for Project 2025, which led to him not seeking a second term and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris. Both Biden and Harris have frequently criticized it on social media.

Radio host Jason Rantz has noticed the significant uptick in Project 2025 coverage.

Rantz stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that Democrats are using the "threat" of Project 2025 to scare people and amplify lies about it, which will help Kamala Harris.

"Joe Biden was destroyed by the media, who had no choice but to report on his mistakes. They didn't force him out of honest and fair reporting. Instead, they went after him because he couldn't beat Donald Trump," Rantz continued. "The left-wing media has a single mission when Trump is involved: to keep him out of office. They see the Project 2025 smear as a winning strategy."

The rhetoric surrounding Project 2025, a conservative initiative backed by Trump allies and former administration officials, has been highly intense.

CNN's Van Jones characterized JD Vance as a "scary dude" when Trump chose him as his running mate, implying he would aid in implementing the plan.

Jones stated on CNN that if you are concerned about Project 2025 and other matters, this individual will keep you awake at night.

Joy Reid of MSNBC stated that she would vote for Biden even if he was in a coma, as opposed to Trump, while discussing Project 2025.

Reid stated, "All I care about is keeping Hitler and Project 2025 out of the White House."

Since Biden stepped aside and left her as the presumptive Democratic nominee, Harris has adopted the Project 2025 talking points. The Biden-Harris campaigns and their media allies have stated that it will "take away women's freedom," result in the mass deportation of Latinos, and "undermine" democracy, among other things.

Harris stated that their plans are extreme and divisive, as he linked Project 2025 to Trump and Vance.

The New York Times columnist Paul Krugman stated that the plan contains "many things to object to" and that it essentially involves replacing the majority of the federal workforce, consisting of career civil servants with some protection from partisan influences, with political appointees who can be hired or fired at any time.

An unscrupulous president could easily use this power to reward friends and punish opponents nationwide, as Krugman wrote.

"Although Trump tries to disassociate himself from the project, it provides a clear picture of what a second Trump term would entail."

Despite Trump's departure from Project 2025, Katie Phang of MSNBC referred to it as the "blueprint" for a potential second Trump administration.

Joy Behar of "The View" stated earlier this month that Trump's team plans to implement a far-right plan for destroying democracy on day one.

"Behar stated that the ways they want to ban abortion, starve school children, eliminate breakfast and lunch for school kids, have mass deportations of immigrants, gut healthcare, are just the beginning of their platform, which is a blueprint for a fascist regime."

Instead of abandoning Biden, Democrats should concentrate on Project 2025, as Sunny Hostin suggested before he was removed from the ticket.

"Democrats must prioritize discussing the Republican program, Project 2025, more openly," she emphasized. "I urge all of you who have not read it – it is a daunting 900 pages, but it is a terrifying read that you cannot afford to miss."

While his media critics have pointed out that over 100 Trump administration officials were involved in the creation of Project 2025, Trump publicly distanced himself from the initiative as it gained attention.

"Trump wrote on Truth Social that he has no knowledge about Project 2025 and does not know who is behind it. He disagrees with some of the things they are saying and considers some of their statements to be ridiculous and abysmal. Despite this, he wishes them luck, but has no involvement in their activities."

Trump's campaign rejected any connection to Project 2025 and emphasized that only Agenda 47 and the RNC Platform were Trump's policies for a second term, as stated to Planet Chronicle Digital.

A Trump campaign spokesperson stated that Team Biden and the DNC are resorting to lying and fear-mongering because they lack anything substantial to present to the American people, despite being the same group that deceived Americans about Joe Biden's cognitive decline for years.

In reaction, Project 2025 said it does not speak for Trump.

"A Project 2025 spokesperson previously stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the organization does not represent any candidate or campaign. It is a coalition of over 110 conservative groups advocating for policy and personnel recommendations for the next conservative president. However, the ultimate decision on which recommendations to implement lies with the president, whom they believe will be President Trump."

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
