'The host of the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast justifies interviewing Kamala Harris during her campaign: "No brainer."'
The 'Call Her Daddy' podcast is hosted by Alex Cooper.
Alex Cooper, the host of the Call Her Daddy podcast and an influencer, responded to criticism following her conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris in the campaign's final weeks.
In an interview with Forbes, Cooper stated that it was a no-brainer to have the most popular female podcast in the country, as the entire focus of the current election is on women's bodies and rights are being lost by the day.
According to The Washington Examiner, the Harris campaign spent "six figures on constructing a set for Harris's podcast appearance on Call Her Daddy."
Despite her efforts to steer clear of politics on her show, Cooper felt compelled to speak out after the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
"As a woman, I am not going to give an interview to Harris during the campaign season," she said.
Cooper anticipated the backlash and was aware of his audience's divided opinions. He didn't want to alienate anyone but felt responsible for his actions, so he didn't care about the criticism.
While Trump's October 25 appearance on Rogan garnered over 50 million views on YouTube, Harris' appearance on "Call Her Daddy" fell short of the mark, with less than 1 million views.
Rogan stated that he had been in discussions with Harris' team about her appearing on his podcast, but the plans fell through when she declined to record at his studio in Austin, Texas.
