The Harris campaign allegedly spent six figures on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, which received fewer than one million YouTube views.
Over 47 million views on YouTube have been recorded for Trump's podcast episode with Joe Rogan.
A new report reveals that the Harris campaign spent a significant amount of money on a podcast that received only a small fraction of the viewership President-elect Trump received on "The Joe Rogan Experience."
On Friday, the Washington Examiner released a report detailing how the Harris campaign spent their $1 billion campaign fund, with one specific expense sparking some controversy.
"According to a source close to the matter, the Harris campaign spent six figures on constructing a set for her appearance on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper. The interview was reportedly filmed in a hotel room in Washington, D.C. in October."
In the aftermath of Trump's electoral victory, many media commentators have observed the influence of podcasts in reaching voters.
While Trump's October 25 appearance on Rogan garnered over 47 million views on YouTube, Harris' appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, which focuses on women's sex and relationships, has only managed to accumulate 813,201 views since its upload on October 6.
Rogan stated that he had been in discussions with Harris' team about her appearing on his podcast, but the plans fell through when she declined to record at his studio in Austin, Texas.
According to the Examiner, the campaign spent $15 million on "event production," including $1 million for Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions.
The Harris campaign did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiry.
The Harris campaign's massive spending won't guarantee a good candidate or love, according to Republican political strategist Brad Todd, as he told The Examiner.
"Todd stated that while advertising is a significant source of information for swing voters, it is not enough. Even if the message is correct, it must be delivered in a compelling manner. The campaign lacked an effort to distance itself from the unpopular administration it has been associated with."
