'The Guardian Angels founder criticized NYC politicians for their delusional views on subway violence in a "slap in the face" statement.'
'Curtis Sliwa, the founder of 'Guardian Angels,' claimed that subway crime has reached its peak.'
The soft-on-crime approach of New York politicians is being criticized as subway crime incidents persist, causing unease in the city.
During "Fox & Friends," Curtis Sliwa, founder of "Guardian Angels," criticized New York politicians for their inconsistent approach to violence, stating that their handling of the crime surge was a disrespectful gesture to the state's residents.
""Politicians are delusional when they claim that crime is just a perception, and they should provide bulletproof vests and individual police officers to those who use the subway, like Eric Adams did," Sliwa said on Monday."
Despite installing security cameras and deploying 1,000 National Guard members to patrol the subway cars, critics claim that Gov. Kathy Hochul hasn't done enough to protect New Yorkers from high-profile crime incidents.
The number of murders on subway trains in New York City has increased by 60% compared to the previous year, according to the New York Post.
"The increase in crime has never been worse, as Sliwa described it," he said. "Descending into the subway is like being in 'Dante's Inferno,' 'Clockwork Orange,' 'The Shining,' and 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.' The man you're referring to has 87 priors and is easily found on two lines. He's a habitual rider, taking the two and five train with a knife in hand."
"D.A. Bragg frequently releases him, despite his dangerous behavior in the subway system. The police eventually issue an all-points bulletin, warning of his extreme danger."
Over the weekend, one man was arrested for two stabbings, and the suspect, who is facing assault and weapons charges, had been arrested 87 times before the incidents. Sliwa's criticism comes after this arrest.
An illegal immigrant was arrested for murdering a 57-year-old New Jersey native on a subway last month.
At the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station, a stationary F train was the scene of an attack, as shown in surveillance video. The suspect approached a woman who was sitting motionless and possibly sleeping, and set her on fire.
Sebastian Zapeta, a 33-year-old previously deported immigrant from Guatemala, was arrested and indicted on multiple counts of murder and arson following a horrific incident.
The "Guardian Angels" founder, Sliwa, deployed volunteers back to the subway after Kawam's brutal killing to enhance public safety.
Politicians have not taken any action to reduce the danger on the transit system, as argued by him.
"Sliwa stated that everyone on the subway is in danger. He pointed out a woman who had transformed into a human torch. Sliwa, a Guardian Angel, deals with homeless and emotionally disturbed individuals, who are often overlooked and forgotten by society. These individuals are Americans and migrants who are placed in hotels."
"We let Americans sit in their squalor and ride around in circles. We don't help them, and when we talk to them, we discover they're just like us, struggling and now forced to live on the subway," he said.
"Our officials, including your governor and mayor, remain inactive."
