Stephen A. Smith criticizes those who try to appease Trump to avoid being attacked.
Suddenly, the word "racist" and associations with Nazis and Hitler are no longer present, Smith contended.
Stephen A. Smith criticized those attempting to win over President-elect Donald Trump's favor, arguing that their actions were hypocritical given their previous labeling of the incoming president as a "racist" and Hitler-like figure.
"Smith revealed on "Hannity" that after the election, it was discovered how many people on the left were involved in it. He explained that when people think about and hear about Biden's position and how his family no longer aligns with Nancy Pelosi, they feel betrayed. Smith also mentioned that people wondered about their feelings towards Obama, despite his tweet about Biden a few days ago. Additionally, Smith pointed out that Kamala Harris and her recent statements have caused some confusion, as they were not saying the same things before the election."
"Smith continued, "As you say, the media, and what are people doing? They're jumping down to Mar-a-Lago to kiss his ring. They're trying to make sure that he's not going to be targeting them. All of a sudden, you don't hear 'racist' now, you don't hear associations with Nazis and Hitler and all of this other stuff.""
"Hold on a moment. You were previously arguing that this person was unfit and the worst person on earth, yet now you find yourself in their position."
After Trump's election win, many companies and high-profile individuals are now seeking to be associated with him. Smith's comments follow this trend.
In the aftermath of the victory, the ESPN host expressed his irritation with Democratic politicians on Capitol Hill.
"Smith admitted, "The man won the election. The American people have spoken. What are you doing on Capitol Hill acting like you're still on the campaign trail, talking about him like they're both at stake? He's your president now. You have to sit up there and say, I hope he does well for this country. I hope he does the kind of things he says he's going to do.""
Smith stated that the problem in America is that people are rooting against someone they don't like, putting the country at risk.
