Vogue magazine interviewed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's dog on Wednesday, drawing attention to the fact that Vice President Kamala Harris has not granted an interview in the three and a half weeks since being named the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

Vogue published a detailed article about Walz's dog, Scout, who is the "First Dog" of Minnesota.

In October 2023, Scout went viral after Walz's wife informed the governor that the dog had accidentally locked himself into their bedroom. "This damn dog," Walz said in a social media post sharing texts from his wife. They had to use a ladder to gain access to the bedroom from the outside window.

The Walz family was interviewed by Vogue about their dog, Scout. When asked about his favorite food, Scout replied, "Anything with peanut butter on it." When asked about his strangest habit, Scout supposedly said, "Stealing and eating Tim’s glasses."

On "The Five," Planet Chronicle anchor Martha MacCallum remarked that Tim Walz's dog has given more interviews than Kamala Harris.

"Judge Jeanine Pirro's 'What's your favorite ice cream flavor' questions for Joe Biden remind me of the current situation, which would feel cute and interesting if we weren't dealing with serious issues that we haven't received answers to yet," she said.

Judge Jeanine Pirro stated that Harris is being shielded from making unscripted mistakes, similar to how President Biden is protected.

Pirro suggested that her team believes there is a risk in having Kamala answer questions, that the downside is too great, and that is why they think the less you see of her, the more you are going to like her.

"Although we have only 81 days remaining, the Democratic National Convention is scheduled for next week, which will be scripted. After that, she may give an interview, followed by the debate. My concern is that she and her team may not be confident enough to respond to any questions."

Planet Chronicle host Martha MacCallum speaks
Planet Chronicle host Martha MacCallum noted on Friday’s episode of "The Five" that "Tim Walz’s dog has now granted more interviews than Kamala Harris."

"Joe Biden's Vice President is a woman. What is she afraid of? This is like having a co-pilot who is bubble-wrapped. They may not be keeping her in the basement, but it is the same thing."

She pointed out a campaign video featuring Harris and Walz discussing topics such as tacos and hot peppers, stating that they were focusing on interviewing each other instead of addressing the concerns of the American people regarding important issues.

Pirro contended that the use of appearances instead of actual interviews may be nonsensical, but in the end, it reflects our current state as a nation.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about how much Biden likes ice cream: Judge Jeanine

"According to Pirro, many young people today are not interested in long-form interviews. Instead, they use their phones to scroll through social media and find memes or other content on Instagram. They don't have the time or interest in sitting down for a lengthy interview."

MacCallum concurred, stating, "Indeed, some of her backers contend that 'It doesn't really matter; you don't need to engage with anyone or respond to any inquiries.'"
