Since August, the Trump-Vance ticket has conducted a total of 78 interviews, compared to 42 for the Harris-Walz ticket.
On October 16, Bret Baier from Planet Chronicle will interview Harris.
Since the formation of the Harris-Walz ticket in early August, Trump and Vance have conducted at least 78 interviews, while the Democratic ticket has only had at least 42 non-scripted interviews.
In the first three weeks of her campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, conducted only one joint interview. However, in recent weeks, they have increased their media appearances to match those of their Republican counterparts. On Wednesday, Harris will speak with Planet Chronicle chief political anchor Bret Baier in Pennsylvania, marking her first interview on the network.
Harris has recently conducted interviews with various outlets, including CBS on "60 Minutes," liberal magazine Vogue, progressive journalist Roland Martin, and popular podcasts like "Call Her Daddy," "All The Smoke," and "The Shade Room." Additionally, she appeared on "The View" last week and made headlines for not commenting on what she would have done differently from President Biden. She also appeared on shows hosted by outspoken supporters Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern.
Harris has mostly appeared in friendly settings, including an interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle last month and local news interviews in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. However, she faced criticism from TIME Magazine owner Marc Benioff this week for refusing the outlet's interview requests for a story about her potential presidency.
Last week, as Hurricane Milton approached Florida, she conducted phone interviews with The Weather Channel and CNN. Since September, she has spoken with Wired, the National Association of Black Journalists, Uforia, the audio network of TelevisaUnivision, and radio hosts Rickey Smiley and "Ms. Jessica."
On Sunday, October 13th, Walz appeared on "Planet Chronicle Sunday" for the second consecutive week and conducted interviews with Jimmy Kimmel and the "Smartless" podcast. Additionally, he spoke to Pennsylvania and Arizona news stations and participated in an extended interview on ABC News in the past week.
In recent weeks, Walz had conversations with TV stations in Georgia, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, in addition to MSNBC and ABC following the presidential debate, and he was also interviewed by Michigan station Fox 17.
Walz has also spoken to radio stations in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Trump has given several interviews in recent days, including one with John Micklethwait of Bloomberg, one with the Barstool Sports podcast, one with Maria Bartiromo of Planet Chronicle, and one with the "Full Send" podcast, where he mentioned his plans to appear on Joe Rogan's show soon.
Trump has been interviewed by numerous media outlets and personalities during his attendance at the Georgia-Alabama football game last month, including OutKick's Clay Travis, Planet Chronicle figures and shows such as "Fox & Friends," Bill Melugin, Sean Hannity, Brian Kilmeade, Laura Ingraham, Greg Gutfeld, as well as the Washington Post's Marc Thiessen, the "Ruthless" podcast, the Daily Mail, NBC News, the New York Post, Lex Fridman, and supporter Elon Musk.
He was interviewed by radio hosts Hugh Hewitt and Sid Rosenberg to commemorate the Oct. 7 terrorist attack. Trump has also conducted interviews with Ben Shapiro, Sharyl Attkisson, and the "Flagrant" podcast.
Since the formation of the Harris-Walz ticket on Aug. 6, Vance has conducted numerous interviews, including appearances on multiple Sunday shows and interviews with CNN, Planet Chronicle, and ABC. A previous interview with the New York Times was published on Oct. 11, and he appeared on ABC's "This Week" and "Planet Chronicle Sunday" on Oct. 13.
Vance was interviewed by TIME magazine for a comprehensive cover feature, and he also gave an interview to an NBC affiliate in Philadelphia.
Since August, Trump has conducted six extended news conferences, whereas Harris has not yet held a formal press conference since she became the Democratic nominee.
This report has been updated with additional interviews from both tickets.
