Scott Jennings confronts CNN host about criticism of Musk's international business practices.
Jennings says he has no concerns about Elon Musk and has been looking at pictures of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden meeting with Chinese political leaders.
On Monday, CNN commentator Scott Jennings accused anchor Abby Phillip of criticizing Elon Musk's foreign business dealings while showing a lack of concern about the Biden family's own foreign ventures.
During Monday's "CNN NewsNight" episode, Jennings and Phillips debated the topic of Musk's foreign dealings, with Jennings arguing that it is not a concern for Americans and instead focusing on the Bidens and the Chinese.
"I have no concerns about Elon Musk. I have recently discovered pictures of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden meeting with Chinese political leaders, which we were previously informed didn't exist," Jennings informed Phillip.
Photos of Joe Biden introducing his son Hunter Biden to Chinese President Xi Jinping and then-Vice President Li Yuanchao have been uncovered. Additionally, images of Joe Biden posing with Hunter's business associates from BHR Partners, including Jonathan Li and Ming Xue, have also been discovered.
The allegations that the younger Biden was selling access to his powerful father to his foreign business partners have been strengthened by the photos.
The president has consistently stated that he has never discussed his son's foreign business transactions with him.
The Chinese government is partnering with Elon Musk to manufacture and sell Tesla vehicles abroad.
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year that Elon Musk had "secret conversations with Vladimir Putin" and praised the Chinese Communist Party during its 2021 anniversary.
The commentator pointed out that Musk's business ventures create valuable products, while the Biden family's business dealings do not.
Elon Musk's successful international business that produces vehicles, rockets, or whatever they're doing has upset many people, while the Bidens, despite not producing anything, were also doing business in China.
Phillip countered Jennings, stating, "The issue is not whether he is a successful entrepreneur, but rather if his business interests conflict with the United States' national security."
Jennings argued that Musk's business interests are beneficial to the U.S., and therefore, he is not a threat to the country.
"He declared that it is beneficial for the United States to be the hub for his prospects and interests as a business owner, including electric cars, rockets, and the internet, which are used worldwide. Additionally, he stated that it is advantageous for our national security to possess this technology."
"I completely disagree with the notion that having a businessman in the United States is detrimental, and I see no conflict in this."
