Russia-China war games prompt Gen. Keane to warn that the world is more dangerous than ever before.
Keane described the war game as remarkably large on 'Fox & Friends'
According to Gen. Jack Keane (Ret.), the United States is facing a "perilous circumstance" due to the military exercises conducted by Russia and China, which have the potential to spark a worldwide war.
This week, Russia and China conducted their largest military drills in decades, with joint naval and air exercises spanning both hemispheres. The Russian defense ministry stated that the week-long war games will involve 90,000 troops, 400 warships, submarines, and support vessels, as well as 120 planes and helicopters.
"The war game involving numerous ships in the Arctic and Pacific Oceans, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea, and Caspian Sea is a significantly large one, according to Keane. He stated on "Fox & Friends" that the cooperation of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea is the most significant geopolitical change in the world in the last three or four years."
"The extent to which they cooperate and work together, and coordinate their actions, poses a global threat," he stated. "Why is this so? Because, if China were to initiate a conflict in the Indo-Pacific region over the South China Sea or Taiwan, it's highly probable that Russia would follow suit."
According to Keane, China and Russia believe the United States cannot handle two such scenarios.
A global conflict is the danger that lies ahead, as Keane warned.
The "Ocean 24" war games exercise coincided with meetings in Brussels between the U.S. and the European Union, where the security situation in the Indo-Pacific and China's support for Russia amid the war in Ukraine were discussed.
Also this week, Iran was sanctioned for supplying missiles to Russia.
Keane stated that the Brits have decided to remove restrictions on Ukraine using Storm Shadow Cruise Missiles, and it seems that the United States is following suit.
"Those restrictions have really harmed the Ukrainians," he added. "That will make a big difference for the Ukrainians."
